In order to justify a rematch, the fight needed to be closer.
A 2 handed Pac mops him easy.
Time for Floyd to retire. Running and hugging and throwing pitty patty punches don't belong in ppv. He single handedly ruined boxing that uneventful night when he ran from a one handed handicapped southpaw.
Needed to be closer? Floyd can't even handle a one handed southpaw. That to me shows who was in the different league. Pac outclassed Floyd with one hand. 2 hands. Now imagine a 2 handed pac. now that's a scary thought.Last edited by Spoon23; 06-04-2015, 11:10 PM.

Thank you, Robert. I love watching Floyd fight (for some reason), but I always root for the other guy to win, just to see history get made in our lifetime. But Floyd won that. I don't care for the injury talk, either. All these guys are ****** up. You don't hear a lot about Vitali having the torn shoulder after the first round of the Chisora fight because he won. I love that he wouldn't even talk about it in the post fight ring interview after he won when they'd ask him. That's a champion. Win or lose. Manny had a different situation with the Philippines on his shoulders. I think he had a lot more people to answer to and he didn't want to let them down, so he started talking.

Mayweather created this persona to sell fights and he's darn near made a $Billion off from it, but it's also made him disliked by many. It's a shame too, because there are a lot of otherwise good boxing fans who are missing out on something special to witness.
Here you have Guerrero, a top 10 Welter Weight, talking about what it's like to be in the ring with Mayweather and basically how nothing can prepare you for his speed. This is a fighter who doesn't like Mayweather, but he is giving him his due. The guy is as talented of a boxer as there has ever been, period. And yeah, it was Pacquiao who couldn't deal with Mayweather's speed, that was evident in round 1. It's a lot easier to hit a stationary target, Manny found out that Mayweather is not stationary, he's not going to give you an angles to hit him and he's going to create his own angles faster than you can react. Manny went up against something he never imagined being in the ring with and he could do nothing with it.

I watched the fight once, and have no desire to watch it again. It doesn't matter, man. I remember people saying the same thing about Bradley/Pacquiao 1, how if you went back & re-watched it in slo-mo and/or with the commentary off -- that Bradley won the fight. And I thought that was laughable at the time.
I was rooting hard for Manny, but he lost. It's over. It's been over. Manny knew (or at least I thought he did) that to win that fight, he would've had to win clearly and look good. Instead he looked borderline disinterested and mustered up the most anemic offensive output of his career. That was a winnable fight because Floyd didn't even have one single memorable moment from that fight, but Manny did next to nothing to capitalize on that. You gotta go above and beyond to leave no doubt in the swing rounds against Floyd, or else those are rounds in the bank for FMJ. The blame is on Manny because they knew what they had to do, and not only did they not do it, they didn't even come close.
