Guess what? Cotto is NOT Mayweather. Not even close. And I despise Floyd. People watch Floyd because they want to see someone beat him and take his zero. Cotto has already been beaten and if he gets by Geale, he will have two more beatings waiting for him down the road, one will be very severe and career ending so chances are he will never take that fight.

In the meantime, it's great to read the boxing media and various forums on the net and see that Golovkin is getting much more attention from this fight than Cotto is. Even if Cotto wins, he will get no credit or accolades for it because he needed a catchweight to do it. And if he loses or is taken the distance, or even if the fight goes into the late rounds, Cotto will be hanging his head in shame and his fans will be pulling out excuse after excuse, at least the ones who are still around.

I can't wait for the weigh-in tomorrow and the fight, hopefully, on Saturday. It's going to be a great weekend!

This is exactly the point I was making. You hate Cotto, are happy he won't get any credit if he beats Geale and you are hoping for a disaster at the weigh in and most importantly will be glued to the TV on Saturday night watching the fight. Enjoy

And yet, GGG beating an ex jr. welter...Floyd's and Manny's leftovers, somehow IS worthy of ATG status and accolades?

          ahahahahahaha!

Right on the nail! There is a difference between being a fan of a fighter, and being a HATER of a fighter. That bitter bastard Barcham, is a perfect example of a borderline psychotic HATE for a fighter. One has to wonder what purpose does hating Cotto so much, have in Barcham's pathetic existence.

I am a fan of Cotto and yet, I don't hate GGG or wish death on GGG. I think this is the interesting aspect when it comes to the peasants. Their anger is unwarranted. It's clearly a venting mechanism for their own shortcomings.

From a pyschological perspective, it's pure gold.

Barcham, you are a bit old at 57, for all that teenage anger. Let it go, man. I think you are the only 57 year old on earth who even knows who GGG is and rages on as you do.

If Geale had world class durability i think he would very likely win this fight. But he seems to fold quite quickly when confronted with world class power. Cotto is no one punch KO artist, especially at 160, but his left hook is delivered beautifully to the head and body and i just see Geale folding once it starts finding him regularly.

Its so laughable and obvious who knows boxing & who is objective, who has some bias yet needs not try to desperately discredit the legends in boxing and who is a nuthuggger.

Look Cotto will go down as one of the greats, future HOF, and if you're not able to comprehend that than, give up already and just admit your a little minion.

Geal will try his best and his best is not good enough! Canelo or GGG are both young lions with skills, but they are no kings of anything yet... the loss will only improve them as the future names in boxing but they are a year or two away. Floyd, PAC, and Cotto have been the glue for the last decade in boxing.

There are some good young guys around but none are HOF material at this point.... just cause you beat a couple people do not a king make! You have to beat the man to be the man!!!

All I needed to read was, "...and we agreed to it..." from Shaw. It's strange to see a white hair like him crying like the kid that got picked last for kickball.

And I don't know what it is, but Roach seems like they're avoiding GGG. That would be an AWESOME fight--better than Canelo (to me). I'd love to watch those two swing at each other.

kind of looks like all those nutty ash Pac fans who were on here all these years with no intention of actually talking about boxing, but spent hundreds of thousands of posts hating on Mayweather got their collective worlds crushed, went back to the drawing board, reinvented them selves with some new alts, and focused their collective idiocy in the direction of Miguel Cotto. If all you can do is Bich and moan about a catch weight in a voluntary defense then go find an other sport. The rest of us would like to talk about what each fighter brings to the table and how each can win or lose. Pac and Mayweather is over, lets leave the B.S. that began with their reign as well, and get back to boxing.

So you think Cotto takes out GGG ? leave resume alone , do YOU believe Cotto will beat GGG ?
If i told you that all GGG needs is a big W to get into superstar status will you agree? if you talk pure boxing , do you feel Cotto is a better boxer ? dont go back to who cotto fought , there is no doubt he is a bigger star , but is he a better boxer?
to your reasoning no "up and comer" can be better then the old guard becuase they will always have worse resume by default until that one big W.
Resume is good to look at when carrers are over , not when they are both on the same weight class , one is a mando and the other is plain ducking him.
