Look Cotto will go down as one of the greats, future HOF, and if you're not able to comprehend that than, give up already and just admit your a little minion.

Geal will try his best and his best is not good enough! Canelo or GGG are both young lions with skills, but they are no kings of anything yet... the loss will only improve them as the future names in boxing but they are a year or two away. Floyd, PAC, and Cotto have been the glue for the last decade in boxing.

There are some good young guys around but none are HOF material at this point.... just cause you beat a couple people do not a king make! You have to beat the man to be the man!!!
How can they beat the man if the man doesnt want to fight ? you ever thought about it ?

Now, this notion that because Geale lost a fight, it makes him unworthy of ever fighting again... What does that make GGG wanting to fight Cotto then? Did Cotto not lose to Manny? Trout? So is GGG somehow a badass for wanting to fight an ex Jr. Welter who LOST 4 times already to SMALLER opposition?

      Silly peasants...

      I must break you..
Here is the thing - none of the Golovkin's supporters says that "his resume is awesome". They understand that fighters collide in the ring, not their resumes. They just like what they see in the ring. And the reasons why there is no "money cows" on his resume was beaten to death. They just don't want to lose their status. Their fans feel this quite well, they are not blind and they see who Golovkin is (while never admitting it). So they create an outcry about GGG moving to the next weight and pick 172 pounds Ward.
Golovkin wants Cotto because the latter holds the main belt IN HIS DIVISION. But you are never addressing this, you prefer to cling to "ex Jr. Welter" mantra. If Cotto is so small, then tell him to give up the belt and move down. Draining MW to fight him FOR MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE is shameful.

A lot of people were fence sitting on Cotto for a long time. His questionable streak of old injured opponents after the Manny fight could have been mere coincidence.

He's finally erased all doubt, left with a MW title and two of the biggest names in boxing begging for a fight, he says he won't fight them because they "haven't beaten anyone"... Then fights their destroyed leftovers at a catchweight.

Even I primarily blamed Martinez, Foreman, etc for misleading the public when they knew they were injured, Mayorga for talking his way into a paycheck, etc. At most I chided Cotto fans for being overly celebratory of cringeworthy victories in fights that shouldn't have been sanctioned, but not Cotto himself.

There's just no room for doubt left anymore. Cotto does this stuff on purpose. He hand picked those guys and is still at it. Once you realize what's up and go through his record holy **** it's obvious.
that is not what he said. Your spanish must be terrible.

If all you can do is Bich and moan about a catch weight in a voluntary defense then go find an other sport. The rest of us would like to talk about what each fighter brings to the table and how each can win or lose. Pac and Mayweather is over, lets leave the B.S. that began with their reign as well, and get back to boxing.
I've been saying it the pac fans that disappeared are the new GGG fans.

If i told you that all GGG needs is a big W to get into superstar status will you agree? if you talk pure boxing , do you feel Cotto is a better boxer ? dont go back to who cotto fought , there is no doubt he is a bigger star , but is he a better boxer?
to your reasoning no "up and comer" can be better then the old guard becuase they will always have worse resume by default until that one big W.
Resume is good to look at when carrers are over , not when they are both on the same weight class , one is a mando and the other is plain ducking him.
You haven't answered my question, name one thing.

Golovkin fans are everywhere. If you like the sport of boxing, chances are you like Golovkin. There isn't much not to like about the guy. It's not a nationalistic thing, it isn't money and being villain, no gimmicks, people like Golovkin because he's entertaining, he has the goods and by all accounts he's a nice guy and very likeable. Typically the people that don't like Golovkin are hardcore fans of other fighters they don't want him to destroy or for some weird reason they are jealous that he's bbecome popular. Whatever the case it's a very odd and silly reason not to like the fighter.

Some of us have known about Golovkin for many years, some of us have known about him since his amateur days, some of us that watch European cards have watched him fight in Germany, many of the hardcore fans have known about him for a very long time and have been waiting for his arrival to the big stage. It finally happened once he got with K2 and HBO, and naturally his fanbase grew. He's quickly grown as one of the bigger names in our niche sport, that much is obvious. People from all walks of life want to see him fight and equally important, they want the BEST to actually fight him. After all, boxing is a sport so it's only logical fans want the best fights, they don't want excuses and lies.
