Def excited about this! One Time is one of my favorite fighters and I'm glad this is in my town! I met Keith at the Mike Tyson Undisputed show in Clearwater a while back and he was a very cool dude.

    War Thurman!!

I can't really criticize Keith. Would much rather he stay active and show case his skill set than sit/stay inactive and wait for the fights to happen. As long as there's a decent undercard I have no problem with this. Stay active, fight near home and make some $$. Guys fight so irregular these days you'd think they were afraid of making money.

Plus time-frame wise if Keith wins impressively without receiving damage then he could still potentially put himself in line to be Floyd's opponent in September.
      How about two young welterweight

No offence to Collazo but thought Thurman would be stepping it up by now.
One step forward, 2 steps back.

It seems to happen with all these Haymon fighters. They fight the fights you want to see a year after you wanted to see it, and then go too far back down in quality afterwards. There's no consistency to their competition. I can't even imagine who Peter Quillin will end up fighting next since he had a draw with Andy Lee.

He does seem to have some terrible matchmakers, as others are saying. You have to wonder whether PBC is going to be able to build stars, because Haymon's never done it before. Not that I can think of, anyway.

Actually at the time a lot of people were picking Collazo to win, he had just come off a KO win over Ortiz. On NSB 52% picked Khan, 46% picked Collazo.

I don't see much point in it for Thurman but it's not a bad "filler" fight if he fights again in the Autumn/Fall.

Guerrero/Collazo/Maidana* would be a pretty good year.

              * You could substitute Maidana with Porter, Brook, Khan or any of the other top welters.

Stay-busy fight for Thurman really, at least Collazo has a name in the sport. Should be a fun fight for as long as it lasts, but I would like to see Keith engage more than he did against Guerrero and Bundu.

I guess the reasoning was that Julio Diaz had put Khan down in his previous fight, and that Amir had looked as shaky as he had ever looked against average opposition as well as being out of the ring for a good while.
