I don't see much point in it for Thurman but it's not a bad "filler" fight if he fights again in the Autumn/Fall.

Guerrero/Collazo/Maidana* would be a pretty good year.

    * You could substitute Maidana with Porter, Brook, Khan or any of the other top welters.
Khan-Collazo wasn't a bad matchup on paper... But Collazo looked terrible in the actual fight.. Like so bad everyone was laughing at him

I think anyone fighting him now after the fact is looking for an easy paycheck

He looked terrible because thats what Khan does to southpaws, makes them look terrible

He looked terrible because he is washed up. All he had done recently was add yet another quit job to Ortiz's career. I don't understand why that fooled anyone into thinking he could even be competitive with Khan.

Khan may be good against south paws, but I doubt he's so good that he reduces a man to walking around with his hands at his knees screaming obscenities in exhaustion like Collazo did for that entire fight. He's way way past his shelf date and showed up to lose.

I thought Collazo was a live body against Khan giving his recent showing. But really it just underscored how far he and Ortiz have faded.
Khan vs anyone with a decent ring I.Q. has rough outings. When Julio Diaz gives you a genuine scare,....well.
Gotta be honest,Thurman has had a solid schedule, will to give a pass if he takes a Collazo.
But not excited, even if ko came early,it's expected.

collazo is nothing but a mediocre fighter coming off a loss, nothing different from what thurman has been fighting his entire career...

Cool that he gets to fight in his hometown, but man I would have liked to see Keith up against a better opponent than this.
