True but let's not forget that he was going to fight Canelo next. One party was beholden to a date while the other was busy negotiating the Roc Nation deal.

I'm not condoning this. But it is what it is. It's just a part of the sport we love. Cotto's had it done to him. They pulled up the chubby ghost of James Kirkland and propped him up against Canelo. So and so forth. All I ask is that they just give us the fights we want after and don't have us sitting around for five years.

I hope Roach retire soon and we never hear from him any more. He should just crawl back his cave. Pac lost, his time is over too, he got that attention I think he got too much of it. If he wouldn't be well known sick I would like to see him in the ring against some of those guys he talked trash to and made them drained with his sneaky catchweights.
The disgrace is Roach actually tries to make it up like Geale would be the bad guy who doesn't make the under middleweight catchweight when he fights for the middleweight title. He doesn't think about it with his small brain that maybe that's even more of a disgrace that his fighter holds the MW title but still bitching about catchweights and seemingly wants really bad his opponent to come drained af to fight him. Oh yeah and all this behaviour while they're also bitching about their mandatory challenger and they send angry, salty messages to the WBC as such things as a "mandatory challenger" wouldn't be valid to Cotto.
It's a shame. The WBC was already too kind to them and after that this trashtalker scumbag and his fighter put them on blast based on "how they dare to give mandatory challengers, nobody tells Cotto what to do, blah-blah...". He can think that he is a big enough star to do well without anybody tell him who he has to fight, that's okay, BUT then don't hold a belt of an organization in a weightclass you don't even want to belong and bitching about them giving you mandatory challengers.
I would be really curious to a Canelo-Cotto fight and normal wise I prefer Cotto over Geale but this is too much. Enough is enough. What Cotto and Roach did here is disgusting. They achieved that I will actually root for Geale.

This disgrace is on Cotto first, then management, then the federation that owns the belt.
In a Titled fight the limit it 160 at Middleweight and theres no other limit used.
Why this would be supported even by Cotto fans is beyond me. Plus his opponent just got stopped in his last fight, how does he get a title shot?

I don't think Cotto will be easy for Canelo at all. Canelo still has flaws that an elite fighter can expose.
