He lost 4 rounds to a one armed fighter, he cant be in a league of his own. People who fight him end up thinking hes not as good as they thought hed be.
GGG and Kovalev are in a league of their own at this moment.

And very few fighters picked him to lose to Pacquaio at any time. The vast majority of their common opponents have always maintained that Mayweather would beat Pacquiao. I think the Madaina fights made some people think he was slowing down (I know that's what Roach was counting on), but he showed he's still got it.

Only in the minds of a very small but vocal and obnoxious group of fans that either love Manny or hate Floyd or both. That doesn't make it true.

Manny was healthy, he just got neutralized by the superior fighter as most knowledgeable fans/writers/historians predicted.

Kov and GGG are in the discussion for best in their weight class, no more, no less.

People picked Pascal and Bhop to beat Kov and many think Ward, Floyd and Canelo will beat GGG. SO going by your own logic in your previous post, they can't be in a league of their own for these reasons.

True. Most pros they asked picked Floyd.

What's simply happening is that an older and more comfortable Floyd is slowing down and fighting a more relaxed and less offensive style. And guys like GGG, Rigo, Loma and Roman are either much younger or encouraged to be offensive and crowd pleasing to eventually get to the level of someone like Mayweather.

We can't compare Mayweather at his stage to someone like Loma at his stage. You compare Mayweather when he was in his 20's not the version who is almost 40 and is just coasting into the sunset while those other lions are trying to find the sun rise.

And of course Cotto picked Pacquiao to win, they're both trained by Roach.

I think Rigondeaux, Gonzales, Lomachenko and Ward all have ATG skills too and are not that far off him at all.
None have proved it yet,so at this moment yes he's in a league of his own as of active fighters..

He's the man from this era, but I'll always put him under Leonard

Exactly. It's based on accomplishments and the fact that he's proven himself for nearly 20 years as a pro.

The others still have some proving to do in their longevity. They are VERY skilled and from the looks of it, have skill to rival Mayweather. But it takes more than skill, more than fast hands, more than power, more than a chin, etc to stay at the top the way the HOF elite have.

They still have to prove that their skill is also matched by their will, dedication and longevity. There have been MANY "skilled" fighters. No one said Mayweather is the only one.

Rigo - biggest wins are vs Donaire and Agbeko
Loma - biggest win vs Russell Jr., loss to Salido

They are incredibly skilled and have notched some big wins so far. But not even a handful of big wins combined so far. That's ok. They simply have more to prove. You'll be remembered for your skill only for so long. If you can't make a great career out of it (loss of focus, lack of dedication, changing who you are, other things), it only means so much.

If that's the case then why couldn't they beat him? It's sour g****s from guys like odlh who I've heard say this, along with others. As much as I detest him, he is in a league of his own. The way he wins isn't impressive like say kovalev, but, he's undefeated and has had what, five close fights?
