Why do people act like Floyd is in a league of his own?

Ok, this is kinda a ****** intro since I posed the question. The man is a great boxer and is undefeated for so many years, true! remarkable career.. but... people make it seem like skill wise there is nothing else remotely close to him in boxing today.

I think Rigondeaux, Gonzales, Lomachenko and Ward all have ATG skills too and are not that far off him at all.

Well, he's only been in a handful of competitive fights in 20 years so......what do you expect people to say?

There's other good boxers man but c'mon Rigo gets floored in every fight, Loma has a loss already, and Roman is exciting but he can't make you miss.

It's actually insulting to compare those three to Floyd, imo.

I dig Loma & Rigo, but they've done **** in the pro game compared to Mayweather.

I think anyone who's had an exceptional career like Mayweather & been top 3 P4P for virtually their whole career would & should be considered in a league of their own.

It's because he is, no one else in the sport is as well rounded.

It's a testimony in itself that the most skilled technicians in the entirety of the sport today are being benchmarked to a 38 year old man.

Imo, I feel like we don't know jack ***** about Rigo, Loma, OR Gonzalez. They should not be compared nowhere NEAR Floyd.

Good boxers, but they ain't ***** in my book. At this very juncture.

You have a point that Mayweather may not be in a league among his own as far the present goes. He's 38 and not as skilled as he used to be. But i still believe he's a cut above the rest namely because he is still exceptionally good and the other guys just arent as good.

They're no contest to be honest, they're good but don't have the spark and all round ability h e has.

He continually beats prime champions at their most comfortable weight coming off impressive victories, who else has done that consistently for almost 20 years?

I was gonna make a video about why mayweather is so successful in todays boxing, cause it all boils down to his tool box, he knows fients, timing, setting traps, shooting the lead right with no tell so his opponent cant time it, he knows to get out of their so the catch and shoot doesnt work, he knows the importance of distance, he perfected the pull counter, he knows how to roll with punches etc and most people he fights dont do any of that they just straight up and down boxers basic ass dudes.
