Horrible fight but I'd really love to see Hopkins take another young man's soul so bring it on!!

I love Hopkins but he is an old man. Kovalev beat him up and I fear now for his safety. The guy is 50, is a legend and that should be enough of a legacy for him.

        Match-up is good for both.

Gives Hopkins a chance to win a title at 168 which he has never done.

And gives DeGale more exposure against a huge name in America.

Not sure how exciting the fight will be but it's a good fit for both fighters.

hopkins gets beat up bad by degale's combos...but if degale does lean into a shot to much hopkins could carry power down to 168 and make something of the night..dont think he can stope degale.. but degale's defense is supsect at times and regardless of what he says he tired after 6 rounds

Money talks; you can bet your bottom dollar that Hearn isn't going to give up 75% of the money (the price that Kovalev had to pay to get his fight) to Hopkins.

Does Hopkins travel to London for a 50/50 split of the money? Fat chance.

According to the article HBO have given him a deadline of the end of June to get an opponent, that could provide some impetus.
