The version of Marquez that Floyd fought had just jumped up 2 weight divisions from 135 to face the best fighter in the world at 147, without having any tune ups at the weight. Going into the fight like that was basically suicide. He was far removed from the version that Manny Pacquiao later got knocked out by after he had acclimatized to the weight division.
Would Chris Algieri beat Floyd Mayweather's Last 5 Opponents at 147, except Pacquaio?

No he doesn't beat "most of them". And Mayweather just beat the guy who mopped the floor with Aglieri easily. So Algieri beats all those guys, does that mean Floyd's list of former opponents is now starting to crumble apart around him in terms of credibility?
Some of yall slating Algieri but he goes and beats most (or all) of Floyd's opponents at 147.. WTF does that say about Floyd then? lmao
Nice try though...Comment

Are you asking if Algieiri can beat them today or can he beat those guys when they fought Floyd? So Algieri beats all those guys, does that mean Floyd's list of former opponents is now starting to crumble apart around him in terms of credibility?

Maybe Ortiz because he's mentally inferior, that's all I'm giving you. Not sure if you're trying to boost the quality of win for Pacquiao or Khan but it's obviously one of the two.Comment

The only person he might beat on that list is Ortiz. Even that's iffy because he wouldn't hurt Ortiz.
Bottom line is that Algieri is not that good and all of Mayweather's last five opponents had better welterweight credentials going into their fights.Comment

JMM can't fight off the front foot and Algieri has the reach and movement to keep him at bay.Comment
