maidana approach to the rematch was different from the first fight too. he wasn't pressuring floyd neither and of course kenny bayless was there too

Floyd said he stood in the pocket to please the fans; doubt that that was the plan, but the fight unfolded that way, he fought like Floyd (defense first, active off of the counter, dig short shots to the body, etc). Floyd didn't go in there and slug it out with him.

Golovkin openly said that he let another man punch him dead in the face, in the name of "making for a better fight".

How you can believe that nonsense, where one off-timed shot could literally end someone, is beyond me.

Maidana a couldn't hurt Floyd. Monroe couldn't hurt GGG. I don't think the plan was to literally take punches in the face for the fans. But in a general sense they just got a but careless for the fans I agree. Both did that. They said **** it. This guy can't hurt me, I've felt his punches. We're going to go at it a bit for these fans.

I truly believe GGG had zero respect for Monroes power and decided to stand there for a more action fight.

I truly believe (now) after seeing the second fight, that Mayweather felt Maidana power and decided he could deal with it.
