Floyd said he stood in the pocket to please the fans; doubt that that was the plan, but the fight unfolded that way, he fought like Floyd (defense first, active off of the counter, dig short shots to the body, etc). Floyd didn't go in there and slug it out with him.
Golovkin openly said that he let another man punch him dead in the face, in the name of "making for a better fight".
How you can believe that nonsense, where one off-timed shot could literally end someone, is beyond me.
