Thanks for the scouting report. Maybe Molina's not that bad; watch 2:09 where he hurts Arreola

I understand why he got the fight, but I think Wilder needs to follow up his surprisingly good performance against stivernne with better competition.

He's had 32 of these type of opponents and surely doesn't need another easy KO win to showcase his power.

He was going to get paid from Haymon either way so why not at least get a guy who would make him work.

I think this will be Wilder's last 'soft touch' opponent. If everything goes to plan, Wilder will Povetkin later this year as he is Deontay's mando.

Well let's just hope it does. Don't think he'll drop the belt since he just tattooed it on himself

Even if he beats Povetkin (which he will easily in my opinion, way too long, fast, and powerful for him), the haters still gonna hate. Why not take some "stay busy" fights until he gets the winner of Wlad/Fury. Get paid, keep the skills sharp, bring the first world title fight to his beloved Alabama. All the contenders do it, they hardly ever fight each other..

That will probably work too. Put it on sportscenter talking about the new heavyweight beast and he'll gain fans.

I think that's the idea actually.

I do like the idea of Wilder "staying busy" fighting 3-4 per year, even if the level of opp is not always great. Fans want to see their favorite fighter in action every 3-4 months not once every 6-8 months. Golovkin and Kovalev have made huge fan bases because of their activating and fan friendly style. And Wilder definitely has a fan friendly style.

That's the best thing for any fighter. Tyson fought 13 times in 1986. You wouldn't know most of the names but he was out there fighting and punching. That's what it takes to be a huge star. The worst thing an up-and-coming star can do is starve the fans. They will get bored quick.
