Shyt, Cotto is fighting against bigger guys than the 155lb killa is fighting and the 155lb killa is actually the naturally bigger fighter!

You can't make this shyt up...

"Dear Cottito, can you please come to my pueblo and kill another monster named Jennadee Culovkin for Canelo now that you killed Sergio? We are afraid and would much prefer if YOU did the giant killing. Sincerely, Peseanto Ruiz Jr"

I'm over Cotto. I generally like his fights and I respect his boxing career; but it's so difficult to continue to respect this guy. I hope Geale kicks his ass...though I realize I might be hoping for too much.

lets see, catchweight for his comeback fight and voluntary defense, OK, no problem with that.

Then fight with Canelo at a Catchweight, no problem. Why? because Canelo its fighting at 155 so its a fight between "catchweight fighters".

But if the winner of that fight goes to defend the title with catchweights demands, that my friends it's being a pus.sy.

We should shi.t on these fights with unnecessary catchweights, unless its because the fighters are in two different weight divisions.

And no Canelo it not in different division, period.

Lets see how Cotto win this fight with Geale.

I NEVER heard of a challenger coming off a tko loss!

Cotto, go away, call Floyd and Manny and Bernard and lets throw in lil Paulie
and let the younger generation have their chance. Maybe the best will get together every 15 months and we'll see fighters actually test themselves.

Here's the difference between Canelo and Cotto. Canelo after Mayweather stated he didn't want to pretend to be a champion at 154 because he knew Mayweather was the true champion, so he stayed fighting at 155lbs and turned down the offer to fight for the WBC 154lb belt.

Cotto on the other hand wants to hold on to the 160lb belt so that he can project an image of him being a champion over the 160lb division, without ever actually allowing those fighters to face him at 160lbs.

The WBC and other orgs should have a policy that a title belt only be contested under the traditional weight guidelines. You want to have a catch weight fight, that's fine. But don't fight MW's at 157lbs and pretend that makes you champion of 160lbs.

Cotto has to be stripped at this point.
Chavez Jr that had ever issues with the weight he won the belt at middleweight limit and made the weight in title fights.
Cotto now is going too far with his demands, period...... And i am a fan of him since the superlightweight days, damn.

There's a difference between catchweights and *****weights. I know Cotto fans and Cotto himself (not so much these days) used to bring up the fact that Pacquiao did the same to him when he was the "A side". What he neglects to mention, is the fact that little Pacquiao had never fought for a world title at welterweight and was the lineal and defending LIGHT welterweight champion, moving up to challenge the welterweight titlist and one of the two best welters at the time.

When a fighter, a champion in most cases, moves up from a lighter division to face a champion in a heavier division. Everyone from Armstrong to Leonard has done it. The issue arises, when two defending "champions" or a defending champion fighting a contender in his own division, starts asking for CWs. Then it is referred to as a ***** weight.
