After Rios, it will be Berto...Hern has mentioned Berto in one of his interviews on IFLTV, and after Berto they will probably drag out Lopez, Alvarado or Chavez
I think all of those opponents are at least a step up from Gavin and Jo Jo Dan so at least Kell would be going in the right direction. Gavin was a D-level opponent who Kell took 6 rounds to stop (which was a bad performance).

To be fair, I wouldn't mind seeing Brook vs any of those you listed, besides perhaps Alvarado who now looks totally washed up.

Rios looked good against that faded Alvarado and he's always quite an entertaining fighter to watch so I'd be ok with Brook vs Rios personally - it's finally a step in the right direction for Brook.

To put it into context - I think Rios would stop Gavin in about 4 rounds flat.

      Another meaningless fight.

One can't fight elite opponent after elite opponent, but recently they are exaggerating (D.Garcia vs Salka started the trend, apparently).

I often criticize Canelo, but he's the only one who took some risk. He had showcase fights like Angulo and Kirkland, but also fought Trout and Lara, both "bad" fights for Saul, style wise.

I don't know whether Brook is being avoided, "marinated" or whatever, but he still has to fight somebody worth a title shot, and Rios isn't that guy, no excuses.

Solid opponent, could be a good fight. Not the best opponent but pretty much all the better opponents are not interested in fighting Brook right now for various reasons.

Rios is very limited and given the styles, I can see Brook putting on a master class. So, yes Kell is right.

The defense for Gavin was, active champ doe, the big summer showdown is later in the summer doe, all Khan's fault doe.

Activity doesn't mean jack when you're fighting a Frankie Gavin. They could've definitely made a fight against Bradley if they had wanted before he signed to fight Vargas.

I think Rios will perform well and come up short. I think he is motivated and knows this may be his last chance to become a major belt holder. The key will be do some really good inside work when Kell is trying to clinch. Cameron Duncan has done a good job getting Rios a lot of money in what will be a short career...Hopefully he saved some of it.
