What does Cotto gain from fighting GGG? History will recognize Cotto as a lineal middleweight champion wether he fights GGG or not and a higher ranked fighter in terms of career accomplishments, he fought everyone, and even fought guys 1 division higher...

Cotto is not getting a rematch with Floyd and people really have to stop with that BS. There is as much chance of that as there is of a Floyd - GGG fight. It simply is not going to happen.
As for Golovkin, he is tired of waiting. He waited too long when he was in Germany and there is no reason for him to be waiting now for a mandatory fight which he deserves more than anyone else. He earned his shot and Cotto is a little b_itch for not standing up like a man and giving it to him.
And where the Cotto - Canelo fight is concerned, I will believe it when the contracts are signed and a date and venue have been announced. Until then, it is no more than a proposal.
We all know that Cotto will NEVER fight Golovkin and he should just admit it and vacate the title he does not deserve to hold. From his own words, it means very little to him in any case. I consider Cotto to be the most undeserving champion I can ever remember and have absolutely no respect for him.
Your a tool bro. Are you not tired of being wrong yet? You are so far inside GGG's hole that when you come out for air to post, your eyes dont have enough time to adjust to the daylight, so as a consequence you blindly post crap like that.
Cotto was ****ed by the WBO in the lead up to the Pac fight and hasnt cared much for sanctioning bodies since then. As far as undeserving, based on his entire career Cotto is more deserving of a world title then GGG because quit simply who has GGG beat? How many PPV's has GGG sold? Cotto moved up in weight and dared to be great, taking on the #1 champ at middleweight, a major underdog no less. Take your anger out on Maravilla and the WBC for sanctioning the Cotto fight.
Now you MAD cause you thought GGG run schit and you found out he dont.Comment

This is similar to the first May-Pac negotiations where Pac walked away from the table and Pac fans/Mayweather haters said May was ducking.
Explain to me how Canelo walking away from the table equates to Cotto ducking? Keep in mind De La Hoya admitted to Gaby that he was being pressured by Canelo to move on.Comment

What would Bowe gained from fighting Lewis?
Or is the question not what you gain, but what you stop..
Bowe now-a-days is effectively known as the guy that ducked Lewis!
Cotto cannot duck GGG.Comment

History will be kinder to Cotto than it was to Bowe. Bowe wasn't a blown-up light heavyweight when he ducked Lewis.Comment

I dont agree with anything you post, but this you have a point. I agree that its both what you gain as well as what you stop. Cotto should fight GGG, but if he doesnt it shouldnt be because there is nothing to be gained. Based on Cotto's career I really dont see Cotto not fighting GGG for that reason. If Cotto doesnt fight GGG it will be purely a risk to money decision, if there is enough money to take the risk Cotto takes the fight. I would also not be bothered with an acknowledgement that GGG is to big and Cotto drops the belt and moves back, but I dont see that happening either. This is not the first time Roach said he wants Canelo then GGG for Cotto, and Cotto has said he will let Roach choose his opponents.Comment

The only thing wrong with that scenario is that the winner of Cotto/Geale is absolute mandatory to fight GGG next, unless GGG agrees to let the winner fight Canelo first. If Cotto beats Geale then Cotto will vacate his belt rather than fight GGG. Or Cotto will work out a deal with GGG in order to fight Canelo first. And after that fight Cotto will not honor any agreement with GGG if he beats Canelo, which I doubt he will do. Canelo does not want to fight at middleweight because of GGG, even though Canelo has fought at 155 in his last two fights. GGG will fight Canelo at 155 in a heartbeat. Lets see how they dance around GGGThis coming Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (39-4, 32KOs) of Puerto Rico will make the first defense of his title against former champion Daniel Geale (31-3, 16KOs) of Australia.
If Cotto wins, the next likely fight is a huge showdown with Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in the fall. Cotto also owes a mandatory defense to WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin.

Actually, no, GGG will not fight Canelo at a catchweight. The question was asked of Loeffler after the Monroe fight and he said there is no way Golovkin would take a title fight in his own division at a catchweight and that it was a ridiculous idea.Comment
