Why couldn't Thurman or Bradley not fight Collazo or Vargas and wait to fight Brook in August?

Funny how you never ask that question. Brook is the champion but he should work around other guys schedules simply because they're American.

The only realistic one you named there was Diego Chaves who was considered for this last fight but they chose Gavin because he was British and it would sell better. Diego Chaves is a top opponent now? Wtf?

Instead of Gavin, he could have fought Keith Thurman? On 5 or 6 weeks notice? On a card where Hearn has already paid two other world champions to travel. He's going to shell out another 3 odd million to Thurman? Oh and Thurman still looked like a ***ing panda from his fight with the other guy you mentioned, Guererro. Why should the champion wait for other fighters who are fighting WORSE opponents than Brandon Rios? Because they're American, they get free reign to do their own thing but Brook, THE CHAMPION, must arrange his schedule around them?

Has nothing to do with the fighters being American and everything to do with getn the right fights made. Look at the top 10-15 welters..i have a great idea, maybe Brook can fight one of them? Rios isnt a factor at 147 but he is an ok opponent when none of the top 140lbers are available.

But you didn't answer my question. Why do the American fighters, namely Thurman and Bradley, get to handpick bums or shot to **** corpses? Why don't they wait till August and try to arrange a Brook fight?

Floyd Mayweather - not going to fight Brook. If he got the call, he'd drop everything to fight him.

Pacquaio - Injured. Fight is possible for later in the year but not now.

Khan - P*ssy. Won't accept the fight.

Thurman - Fighting the corpse of Collazo in July. Not available for August. Fight will need to be in America and will need Brook's name to be bigger hence fighting a name in Rios.

Bradley - Fighting Jessie Vargas. Not available for August I wouldn't think. Possible for later in the year.

Porter - Already easily beaten, fighting Broner.

Maidana - Weighs 300lbs

Guerrero - Fighting some bum. Probably won't be available for August. I have no doubt that Hearn would make that fight anyway. Guerrero isn't even any better than Rios.

Am I missing anyone? Rios is available to fight. He ticks all the boxes. Exciting style, a name in America which will help grow Brook's profile and probably make him look good.

We all get those times of desperation. We don't want to see Khan/Algeri, Thurman/Collazo, or Brook/Gavin. The best we can hope for is that they keep looking good against their opposition so we get to see the best match-ups. Brook did his job, Khan got the W but didn't look good, and we'll see how Thurman performs.
