The only realistic one you named there was Diego Chaves who was considered for this last fight but they chose Gavin because he was British and it would sell better. Diego Chaves is a top opponent now? Wtf?

Instead of Gavin, he could have fought Keith Thurman? On 5 or 6 weeks notice? On a card where Hearn has already paid two other world champions to travel. Maidana seems to be really comfortable right now. I think the next time he fights, we'll be seeing him on PBC. Thurman already has a fight lined up in July, so he won't be available. Rios is the only guy available for August.

Rios? Easy fight for Brook. Guess Arum can sell anything to HBO and Hearn will go right along for the free ride for Brook. You can work out timings except with Mayweather of course. Hearn and Arum have been in dicussions for this fight for weeks/months otherwise Rios himself would have had a fight lined up.
