Is Mayweather The Greatest of All Time?

The way you floyd fans talk about him he is a god of boxing. No one will ever beat him since he's undefeated. He is GOAT, no?

Does he have his 0? Did he beat everyone they said he'd duck?

You build em up he chops em down, like that.

I remember George Foreman and Muhammad Ali being on a British talk show in the late 80s and the host asked Ali if he believed that he was truly the greatest. Ali smirked at the question because he thought it was ridiculous that someone would ask such a question. His response was "NO" because he only called himself the "Greatest" to hype up fights and market his brand. He said he never truly believed he was the greatest.

George Foreman added that there is no way any fighter can be the greatest of all time because you can't really compare eras. He said all a fighter can do is be "the best in HIS era."

So is Floyd the greatest of all time? You can't know the answer to that 100% because fighters of different eras fought under different circumstances. But is he the best of his era? I would say undoubtedly he is.

His fans don't consider him as such and it's more his critics that seem threatened by the notion, a notion that shouldn't be taken serious.

Floyds the second best of this era, behind Pac. Pac didn't look a class below Floyd. Pac didn't look himself and we know why that is, but a class below Floyd he wasn't.

But Floyd doesn't cosider himself the best of all time as well and he knows nobody thinks he is as well.

no way Floyd is the greatest, to be the greatest you have to test yourself over and over again, he's the best of our era, ill give him that. I don't think he's even in the top 10 greatest of all time on most experts list.

I was wrong when I said Pac will be always on top due to achievements Floyd proved me wrong

He's one of the greatest of the past 20 years and that's impressive enough.
