Obviously Khan did better against Algieri.

I like the Algieri/Maidana comparison. Both are GREAT fighters, make no mistake, not super technical or stand out but are both have extreme toughness and command of basics plus can throw from whatever angle I necessary.

Khan may have struggled but fought a valiant fight to the win.

Floyd got the living **** kicked out of him by Maidana to the point where you could make a case that he lost!

    Fact!

Khan vs Mayweather would be great match.

I would slightly favour Khan under fair conditions.

Slightly favour Floyd under realistic (Money) conditions.

I don't think that Mayweather can beat either Khan or Pac now under unbiased circumstances.

Which fighter had the more dominant performance against the slugger style? Khan against Algieri's "higher speed / less power" slugger style or Floyd against Maidana's "less speed / more power" slugger style?
One question: How is Khan or Algieri a slugger?

A slugger is someone who tries to deliver hard, swinging punches - that's exactly what Algieri was trying to do all fight - he repeatedly threw that swinging right hand in the style of a classic slugger.##

But he fought that style mainly because Khan forced him to become a slugger as he had no hope of outboxing Khan. Similar thing happened to Collazo when he fought Khan if you remember. Collazo was basically reduced to a crude slugger.

Did you just refer to Algieri as a slugger?

Algieri isn't conventionally a slugger, he's a boxer, but in this fight Khan turned him into a crude slugger as we all saw.

Surely joking? Maidana hits like a ton of bricks, Algieri did well but he lacks concussive power although I believe his power is going to be much better now as he plants his feet.

The question we should ask is, who had a better preformance against Algieri, Khan or Pac? It's quite a clear answer, forget catchweights, Algieri was a 140lber looking to ease into 147 so the 144 catchweight would've suited him at the time.

Algieri fought out of his comfort zone, hurt Khan and made a case for winning the fight. Maidana boxed how he always boxes, made it a closer fight than expected but doesn't really have a case for winning. Maidana is a much more powerful and dangerous opponent, coming off a big win makes Floyds performance much better. The 2nd Maidana fight? Floyd hands down.
