Maybe Khan is worse than most of you thought.
Maybe Algieri is better than most of you thought?

Algieri converted to boxing in his 20s and fought for a title as if he was a blue chip prospect. Unlike for instance Chavez Jr or Sergio Martinez who required years of apprenticeship as pros. It was evident he would make massive leaps in his game.
If anything Khan was expecting an Algieri on back foot, but had to make serious adjustments. However, he is still a sucker for that left hook.Comment

He would be better at JMW where the talent is lesser. Plus he has great fighting fundamentals and elite conditioning that will serve him well.Comment

He looked better, because Khan isn't very good.
He is the same Khan as always, only difference is he clinches a lot more. Speed? Absolutely. However, terrible defence, no power, awful chin....all in all, he's the same guy.Comment

I never didn't think he was a good solid fighter. He was two points off a draw on my card. Algieri has done as well as you can expect a guy to be doing with zero amateur boxing and less than 25 fights. Sort of like a Bryant Jennings. He's got the grit and talent to pick it up on the fly against classy fighters. Respect.Comment
