Khan was never a good boxer. His big mouth is what brought him the fights. Tonight's showing just proved how much over-hype this guy gets. I can name a handful of boxers that would beat Khan....Thurman, Garcia, Peterson, Brook, Matthysse, Pac. Floyd would make a fool out of this guy. Khan wants to cash out before he gets exposed even more.

He should have been better prepared. Hunter should have prepared a better plan B.
And for 12 rounds there is no plan B since he surprised you?!!

Khans gameplan wasnt for that sort of fight, he thought he'd have to be the aggressor, and chase Algieri around, but instead he had to fight on the backfoot, with Algieri doing his best Lamont Petterson impersonation

Algieri was trying to turn it into a dog fight, the old Khan would have bit back

Khans usual fast handed flurries were not there, he fought at a much slower pace, and surprisingly still had success. Algieri was giving as less room for Khan to work as possible, it was a good gameplan, but Khan adjusted.
Given that Algieiri is a completely different style of fighter than Peterson and about 6 inches taller, do you not find it concerning that even then Khan had real problems getting past Algieiri?

Algieiri is a kick boxer turned boxer, then a hit and run outside fighter and NOW he is slick and rugged like Peterson lol.

Khan was found out, he just is not that good.

Great fight, good performance by Khan, but he didn't do enough to prove he should get Mayweather more than Danny Garcia. You can't struggle with Diaz and Algeri, and say you're on the same level as Floyd and Manny.

Exactly what I was thinking, he wants to be like Floyd mayweather so bad. I remember after the Alexander fight he was showing off his new watch and was bragging how him and Floyd had so many similarities, now watching him fight algieri just confirms even more he wants to be Floyd mayweather. I think algieri won by a round. He definitely landed almost every meaningful punch in the fight and was landing big rights throughout.

Good performance by khan? I saw khan getting worked over and getting his ass kicked as the commentators were sucking him off while he was eating right hands that shook him up round after round

Not impressed by Khan at all. He did nothing to prove to me he could win or that he deserves a fight with Mayweather. Even by his own words before the fight he said he needs to win and win by style to force Mayweather fight. No way he did that against an opponent that everyone mocked him for fighting in the first place.

Algeri landed the bigger shots, but Khan was better with the jab, and the "1-2" combinations. Khan's speed was too much for Algeri, however it was still only a 7-5 win for Khan. Khan's performance was "good" not "great," just like his opponent is "good" not "great." Algeri should go back to 140!
