Kovalev did not destroy Hopkins. He beat him and won the fight but did not destroy him. Hopkins would beat DeGale by an easy UD and might even catch him with a late TKO as DeGale doesn't have the best stamina in the world. It would be a dull, boring fight but I would not mind watching Hopkins make history again.Comment

B-Hop ain't beating DeGale for toffee! Its already been 6+ months since the already 50 B-Hop last fought and a fight where he took sustained punishment from a murderous puncher.
DeGale wins a comfortable decision in a lackluster fight where B-Hop is merely looking to survive.
If B-Hop isn't retiring he needs to go back to doing what he does best and that is picking fights very wisely. Abraham still has a world title, go take that and call it a day.Comment

This is a seriously lame fight. Unless you're a marginal belt holder looking to make serious paper only then you should face Hopkins. He is a lose-lose and has been for a while. You win, you beat up grandpa and if you lose, well you got you azz beat by a grandpa. No credit what so ever.
Chunky should target Felix Sturm for fall if they can get him to travel after of course getting his first defense out of the way. Then of course hopefully Groves does the his part of beating Jack and we can get that Unification going.Comment

Christ, anyone who thinks Degale can win anything more than 3 rounds against Hopkins is deluded.
Hopkins will never make SMW at his age anyway IMO.
This is why there are levels in boxing, and Degale is 2-3 levels below Hopkins, despite being half his age lol.Comment

I rarely pick against Hopkins, even at 50 but I can't see how he would beat DeGale, even with Chunky's limited stamina, I don't see any offensive ability left in Bhop, how would he even try and and win those rounds? At 168 anyway. I don't want to see DeGale go up to 175, maybe a catchweight of 170, who knows.
Hopkins may sc**** some rounds and the fight would probably be a bore but DeGale would win on points.Comment
