Comments Thread For: Fortune: Mayweather Can Talk ****, Beat One Arm Foe

Justin Fortune, strength and conditioning coach for eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao, was not overly impressed with the way Floyd Mayweather Jr. won a twelve round unanimous decision over Manny Pacquiao on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Pacquiao, who came in with a right shoulder injury, tore his rotator cuff in the fourth round of the fight.

Fortune expected Mayweather to be more dominate in the match, because Pacquiao was fighting with one arm.

I expect the fanboys to cry their eyes out but the team aswell?

Can't they see they're embarrassing themselves?

"Fortune expected Mayweather to be more dominate in the match"

goes to show how lowly they think of their own fighter manny

These guys need to STFU and move on instead of telling lies to the public in attempt to secure a 2nd payday.

Face it manny guys with less worldwide support like Cotto and Maidana went in there and took it like a gangster.

You were content to box with Floyd for the sake of survival mode. Throwing caution to the wind by going balls to the wall for a KO wasn't on your mind. The fear of being KO'd again overcame your desire to win.

You let your silly and naive fans who romanticize you as the 'ultimate warrior with an indomitable fighting spirit' down.

I saw the video of Fortune saying this, he didn't seem to bothered about a rematch. Rightly or wrongly, I think he was just calling it as he saw it.

Maybe he thinks he would do better with two arms?

If I was Manny I would have to cut that bytch off for saying that.

I hope they do the rematch tbh. I'd rather see that than Khan get a shot.

Did the injury to his right shoulder cause him to throw less lefts than rights in the fight?
