The sad thing is.. Golovkin is already declining

He had a longer than usual layoff when popa Golovkin passed away RIP (he was actually scheduled to fight Andy Lee).Comment

This is what I've been saying too. Froch is the money fight if he doesn't retire. Ward would be the best possible win as far as his career goes. After that it's thin. DeGale could be a pretty big fight down the road if he keeps winning, I think it's premature for that right now as he's barely known in the boxing world, really most people seen him for the first time against DeGale (obviously in the UK he's more known though).Comment

No one noticed because, prior to two years ago, he was fighting bums off television as the opening attraction at the monthly Kazhanstan professional wrestling shows. He only started fighting bums on television in the last two years so no one except a few wrestling fans knew who he was two years ago.Comment

Those fights would be much more suited for Golovkin imo than Jacobs, Lemiuex, Quillin, Cotto, Lee.
Golovkin is too good for MW and that in itself is more the issue than comparing the two divisions. Outside of a fight with Canelo why should he fight there from a competitive stand point? What's the point, he's not fooling anyone.Comment

Unfortunately he was promoted by Felix Sturms company, which d1cked him around for years. Golovkin lived in Germany and rose up the ranks and became mandatory to Sturm. That was going to be a big fight in Germany and that was his goal. But he stayed mandatory for over two years and the WBA wouldn't enforce it (Sturms manager admitted to paying them $750,000 so that he wouldn't have to fight Golovkin). Golovkin then got into a legal dispute to get out of his contract, which is why he had to fight in Panama a couple times and Kazakhstan in between just so he could stay busy. He's also fought in Denmark.Comment

Ward Jack Degale Both Dirells, Froch, Abraham, Bika. Ward and Froch alone should speak for itself. I know there is others too.

He will be fine, he is fighting guys with very few KO's so it's not like he's gonna get KTFO at MW. If one of them have the skill to out box him but not the power to hurt him, they won't keep him off him and will keep losing by KO. Those who have KO power are too limited like Lee, Lemieux, and then the one's that have power and skill like Canelo and Cotto would have many physical disadvantages at 160 vs GGG. They would be fighting a taller, stronger, more powerful version of themselves.Comment
