        Well he's already no.1, arguably the true champion of middleweight even if Cotto doesn't fight him. However he has never faced anyone elite because there is nobody of that calibre in middleweight. So if he beats Froch who is considered elite by most, it would cement further that he is true champion.

            Hey Jerome, lets not turn this into a race war.

            Ward wasted his best years sitting on the shelf. The man will NEVER fight at 168 again. He just can't do it.

            Ward is officially a Light Heavyweight. His 168 days are long gone.

                Can't say that yet. I'd say let's give Ward time and he said he wants couple of tune ups before facing anyone elite such as Golovkin and Kovalev.
