I think Golovkin slaughters Lara. He's the worst possible matchup for Lara.

It's an HBO thing from what I gather. When Lara called Golovkin out last year, HBO rejected it. I can't imagine they'd be any more keen now, though I hope it happens. Assuming Golovkin doesn't have a better option like Froch.

GGG will cut the ring on him and Lara will eventually be stopped, he just isnt durable enough imo.

Lara has looked bad vs. Carlos Molina, Vanes Martirosyan, and Canelo Alvarez.

He also went life and death with Alfredo Angulo.

He lost clearly 8-4/7-5 to Canelo in my book.

Erislandy Lara, like Sergio Mora before him, is not approved to fight on HBO.

HBO are in the business of making exciting fights and Lara doesn't fit the bill.

Add the Haymon politics to the mix and it's a non-starter.

Lara's just talking about GGG to hype his name up. He knows Haymon's not letting him cross the street. Quillin & Jacobs are essentially Golovkin's mandatories, and there is zero movement on those fights ever happening.

No offense to the TS but Lara lost those fights. I think he is a live dog against GGG and for that reason, HBO will continue its defacto ban of Haymon fighters, whom they only put on if "the price is right."

It's not that GGG has no one to fight him, it's that HBO up until now only approves guys that have no chance in beating him.

You mean they are in the business of giving fighters with exclusive HBO deals very easy wins.
