Algieri is pretty skilled but his style shouldn't give khan too many problems. Pacquiao has a way of making good boxers look like pusses. Its shameful that he ducked brook and the biggest fight of his career though just to protect his chance at fighting mayweather. A real champ fights the best available opponents and not only was brook the best available but he also seems to really scare khan for some reason. I dont think khans ego would let him handle a loss to brook

Khan should just stop talking. He makes himself look like a fool every time he opens his mouth he either contradicts himself or gets caught in flat out lies. British star Amir Khan (30-3, 19KOs) admits that his back was against the wall when he selected former WBO 140-pound champion Chris Algieri as his opponent of choice for this coming Friday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

One of Khan's first selections was Adrien Broner. Khan says Broner refused to back away from his demand for a catch-weight, which is likely true considering Broner is making Shawn Porter fight him at 144-pounds on June 20th.

A week ago Chris Algieri was a dangerous opponent, now he was a desperation pick. Although maybe he really thinks both things are true. In which case he might be more delusional than I thought.

And I feel like they didn't talk about AB until well after Algieri was announced. Not to mention that I doubt Brook was really putting up many roadblocks to a fight between them either.
