Why can't guys have competing styles? Why does everyone need to be Arturo Gatti & screw defense just cuz a fight is on PPV? Who the eff in their right mind would take punches to the head when they didn't need to as the rules of the sport suggest using the entire ring & deciding when & where the fight takes place is one of the strategy parts of boxing.

      Sad

You can't explain to this Floyd generation about how the past greats would beat him. It's like the nba kids think today's guys are great. They play zero defense. Jordan played with killer instinct both ends. Fighters then had defense but also would try and put you away fans then hated runners would never fill a arena for this

These people wouldn't care if manny had a hammer in the ring, they wanna see floyd lose that bad.. if pacquiao would've shut out Mayweather in the same fashion he would be praised for being a masterful boxer

Floyd is along side the ATG's.

IDK if SRL can beat him or if Floyd can beat SRL cause its a fantasy fight but it is a 50/50 pick your favorite fight.

Floyd 4.4+ ppv upwards of $225mil one fight. I'm sure he has no ***s given what any of these cats have to say. Pac fans will ALWAYS and FOREVER have to live with the fact that Pacquiao loss. No matter what brush you paint it with, what excuse you dress it in, and how much you hate the "perfromance"...he lost.

Floyd has been criticised for fighting people his size who were past it(Mosley, Cotto, etc.) and smaller(Pacquiao, Marquez, etc.). He hasn't taken a fight that he wasn't the favourite in since Corrales probably...
There really isn't a fight out there from 160 on down that Floyd wouldn't be the favorite in so that is a dumb@ss point to try and make against Floyd.

Name the fights over the years Floyd didn't take where he wouldn't be the betting favorite?

Floyd Doesn't Beat Leonard, Hearns, Duran, Benitez, Pryor Or Arguello

First of all, Floyd wouldn't have had the ballz to climb in the ring with those legends in their prime, period. Leonard, Hearns and Duran alone went up to challenge Marvin Hagler and between the four of them, had 9 epic bouts! Floyd doesn't have that kind of machismo. Not to mention all those legends hurt guys, they stalked down their opponent and knocked guys out; another reason Floyd would have avoided those guys. It's insulting any clown would try to compare Floyd to those legends.

Now I'm not insane enough to say that Pacquiao was THE draw, because we all know that Floyd's PPV numbers, especially here in recent memory, were significantly ahead of Manny's.

That said, Manny was clearly a monumental draw in this as well. A lot of people around here were saying that Pacquiao's PPV numbers were pathetic and that he was no longer a draw. Well how else can these galactic PPV numbers be explained then? If Manny was irrelevant and no longer a draw, then wouldn't this fight have been just a normal Floyd PPV? A million buys or a shade under? Okay I admit, that's unrealistic -- we all knew this fight was going to be big after years of hype. Well then how about Canelo/Floyd level numbers? 2.4 million buys, right? That 2.4 million or whatever it was blew away the previous PPV record. 2.4 million buys is a **** ton of buys. But instead, this fight wasn't at 3 million, or even 4 million...but instead at 5 million plus buys. That's insane.

Truth is, they were both equally mammoth draws in this. They needed each other to pull this off. It's unlikely those PPV numbers will be topped...ever.
People pay to (hopefully) see Mayweather lose. And it's a great excuse to throw a party. = why alot of people purchase a Mayweather PPV.

I don't think the vast majority are thinking they are gonna see a great fight, they can't keep fooling themselves. Can they?
