Floyd Mayweather vs Roberto Duran @ 147

I got Mayweather and here's why: If Leonard could outbox and frustrate Duran to the point that he quit, I think Floyd can do it too, Floyd's foot work, defense, feinting and counter punching are better than Leonard's. Leonard has the edge in speed, power and combination punching especially at 147, which he tried to use in the first fight and it didn't work, and he wasn't able to make adjusments, Floyd is the king of adjustments, so I wouldn't count him out against anybody, but Duran has the perfect style to beat Floyd, It's just that he wasn't mentally strong and patient enough to deal with someone like Floyd Mayweather.

    What do you guys think?!

Your baseing everything off of one performance. Duran fought plenty of movers in his career and never quit.

I could also say that since Cotto was able to drag floyd into a real fight then so could Duran.

Cotto is bigger and stronger than both Floyd and Duran and Floyd moved up in weight to fight him, I was asking about Floyd vs Duran @ 147 where the size and strength advantage are with Floyd.

You think floyd is stronger than Leonard? Duran had his back on the ropes the whole first fight. Floyd aint out muscling Duran.

Floyd won't look to outmuscle Duran in the first place unlike Leonard tried to do in the first fight, and he won't be there to be outmuscled by Duran, Leonard proved that it's possible and that it's not so complicated, just use foot work and an effective jab and Duran will be thrown off, he won't be able to impose his size on Floyd cuz Floyd is bigger and his attitude will be not to get caught on the ropes, I think this was also the plan against Cotto but Cotto could push him on to the ropes cuz of his sheer size and strength advantage, Floyd weighed in at 151 lbs and came to the fight at 149 and Cotto was like 160 or something, at 147 the size difference wouldn't have been a problem.

And you're basing Floyd only off the Cotto fight? Floyd's legs were already gone when he fought Miguel.

I've no idea who would win if both showed up at there best Duran(vs Leonard 1st fight) and Floyd(vs Hatton/Marquez) but I know it would be an amazing fight.

If you put a gun to my head, I'd put my money on the guy I've never seen lose.

Hands of Stone is a boss, and a better boxer than he's being given credit for in this thread but does he really hit that much harder than Mosley?

Duran's series of fights with De Jesus suggest to me that Floyd would beat him 4 out of 5 times with Duran always having the chance to break him down late.
