Fight in the most conservative manner possible and still dropping four rounds to a poor man's Julio Cesar Chavez?

Calling Maidana a two division champion shows how little you know about boxing. He was a regular titleist at 140 & won a belt at 147 because the WBA decided to upgrade a bum by the name of Senchenko to full champion status.

Castillo was actually a very good fighter in his prime and a legitimate champion and deserves better than to be compared with Maidana.

Excuses, styles make fights, he did what he had to do to beat him convincingly, Leonard was way more conservative against Duran and he got credit for his win.
Maidana was the WBA champion at 147, it's not his fault that the guy that was before the guy that was before the guy who beat for the title wasn't a good fighter, and he beat the champion in Broner in a very good fashion, Broner was a 5 to 1 favorite to easily beat Maidana, and Maidana showed why he belongs to the very best at 147, Maidana is a good fighter, Pacquiao, who is considered to be the 2nd best fighter of the era couldn't do what Maidana did against Floyd, Maidana is a good fighter with an awkward style and when he's focused he's dangerous.

What the hell are you smoking lol
To say Floyd isnt fast is ludicrous
He is extremely fast, perhaps not in combinations since he never throws them but hes the fastest counterpuncher in the sport. Hes also very elusive and very hard to hit, that takes speed of foot and upperbody movement.

Everyone has trouble with Floyds speed, timing and defence.
Speed isnt just about throwing flashy combinations like khan, its about upperbody movement, footspeed and counterpunching

Guy can pull the trigger faster than anyone in the sport.

Futhermore you talk about Floyd having trouble against Maidana and Cotto when Duran lost to Kirland Laing FFS lol
Duran lost to fighters far inferior to Mayweather

Though I think Floyd's style is a frustrating fight for Duran, it wouldn't surprise me to see it go either way. Leonard and Hearns would be too much for Floyd, being that they were just as fast and talented, but far more powerful and aggressive. Floyd hasn't fought anyone in their class. Nothing against Duran, but I see Floyd's passive/evasive style presenting problems for the way Duran fought.

Some of the comments in this thread are hilarious.
The best of Duran beats the best of Mayweather because Duran was all round the better and greater fighter.

                      Simple.

The only chance Floyd has is if he fought a fat out of shape Duran.
