I don't see GGG destroying Degale.

    Quite the opposite.

A lot was on the line for Degale

I also dont believe Degale is in his prime yet
      DeGale was not nervous.

He handled the situation better than Dirrell.

Andre was a deer in the head lights.

James looked like he was having fun.

        Mark my words

I feel Degale went easy on Dirrel, and let him back into the fight

        Similar to Brook and Porter
        Rubbish !

It was a good win, and the first indication that Degale might be able to live with the top guys, that is all.

        Way to get carried away.

Props to Degale for that very good win !

And props to Degale for mentioning Ward.

We got another player at 168.

DeGale gives Ward a money fight at 168.

There's a couple of fights that I m interested in happening In the 168 division, and this is one of them. I could see Hearn and Jay Z getting this fight done. I think the money is in the UK, so if the money is right, then Ward needs to travel and make that money.

The fight can also be made in Oakland, don't know if the money would be right for DaGale if the fight happens there, maybe the fight being on HBO, team Ward will use that as bait to fish him in.

Like others have said, assuming Ward hasn't lost too much, he handles DeGale without too many problems. I don't see him landing that overhand left that dropped Dirrell on Ward. And obviously the inside fighting favors Ward. Good to see him acknowledge Ward as #1 despite his long lay-off yet calling him out. Would be good to see two gold medalists go at it. Hopefully it comes to fruition and we can see Ward fight a good overall boxer with a lot to offer.

Ward would win easily because of those mistakes.
All the more reason why the fight should happen. In the time that Ward has spent out of the ring he's aged so it's quite possible that 168 maybe a little to difficult to make, he's vulnerable. Notice how flat footed Dirrell fights now? Too much inactivity in-addition to aging.

If Groves beats Badou Jack, a Groves vs DeGale unification becomes a no-brainer because their rivalry needs a definitive ending and that in itself would guarantee a huge pot. If Groves were to win again it probably wouldn't lead to a Ward fight, though. That wipeout by Froch put too big a dent in George's credibility as a top fighter for even the UK public to buy his chances against Andre imo. But if DeGale can beat Groves this time and crush him in the process, Ward vs Chunky would do big numbers, big enough to attract Ward to London for a stadium gig. Everybody gets well paid and Ward successfully defends the real title. Why? Whatever his knockers say, Ward is a special ringman and too damn good for anybody at 168.
