Is the UK experiencing a golden age in boxing?

I'm not up on all their history but they seem to be churning out a lot of top notch boxers at the moment.

Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Froch, Degale, Khan, Brook, Quigg, Frampton...has there ever been another era where this much world class talent has come out of the United Kingdom?

Lol. I like British fighters but that list....

Fury: has just started to show basic competence recently.
Joshua: unproven
Froch: last gen, is possibly retired.
Degale: hyped
Kahn: inconsistent
Brook & Frampton: legit

Probably an unpopular opinion but I believe Frampton is the best of the bunch and the ONLY man that could give Rigondeaux hell and potentially beat him.

Impressive Olympics as well in 2012. They've always had at least a couple talented fighters emerge, but recently they've been coming through with more talent.

It's a massive sport in the UK, you look at Groves and Froch selling 80k tickets. I doubt that would happen in any other country for two domestic fighters.

We have 5 world champs with a population of just under 60mi. The US has 12 champs with a population over five times as large. So yeah, it is a golden age because we are punching above our weight when it comes to our relative size.
