Hey im irish not british!!ha...anyway to have a few basic channels and sky sports is 65 euro a month, but hearn is putting most of his fights on box-office which is between 20-30euro to order for the night, soooo thats the bones of a 100euro a month if you wanna watch a box-office show which eddie is doing more nd more often, yes the box-office shows are cheap enough im sure youl say compared to the states, but for the quality on offer is it really worth and extra 30euro or so onto your 65euro bill already?
So will degales IBF title be held captive in the UK by hearn.?

I think Brook Vs Rios would be a decent enough defense. It would be big enough here and sell out.
I'd favour Brook heavily but in keeping with the theme of the thread..i wouldn't call that kind of fight 'holding the belt hostage'.
I wouldn't say a fight with Rios was any worse than Thurman defending against Collazo, or Stevenson Vs Bika. Guys like Canelo had some shocking defences..while Peterson and Garcia were guys who really did keep their title hostage.
Brook would of defended against Khan straight away if Khan wanted the fight. That's as big as you can get for a first defense. Big money/crowd in a dangerous fight..so i don't think Brook will be the kind of champ to skip opponents.
I agree with you on the PBC / Sky cards coming together again for afternoon time cards.. That could work out great.
Hearns could get Brook against one of Haymon's welterweights, with maybe one of his other fighters on the undercard.Comment

The fighters arnt the problem, their solid fighters who will face anyone, the problem is eddie hearn, not willing to put them in against big names, do really honestly think that hearn would put brook in against thurman in the states without milking the fck out of brook on box office shows against other english boxers or european level fighters?? not a chance, i like brook,i like alot of the British boxers and cheer them on most of the time(except quigg) but when hearn puts their name in lights throws them on box office and pits them against a B-level fighter or something along those lines they forget how they got the belt in the first place, slack off a bit and become use to "easy" fights at home. Im not saying for one second he is the only promoter that is doing this wher all not that ******ed, but when it comes to it and they have to fight a big name in their prime and on a win streak, lose the purse bid and have to travel, then they are going to become unstuck because they had it nice and cozy making the money within a stone throw away from their house. AGAIN hearn is not the only one doing this, but he dose talk alot of ***** and tries to rip of the sky viewers by building a mediocre card and getting people to pay for mis-matches,to the casual fans it looks good, but we all know most of the fighters havnt got a chance in if their in whit the "box office star" unless its an all british fight between 2 good lads, where their my point is made that they are holding the belt hostage in the UK because either way Britain still has a champion and hearn still has a fighter to make money off, lets say by the off chance gavin beats brook...its win/win for eddie,he slaps gavin on another box office show against another British fighter in his stable and come up whit some sort of rivalry to sell to the public.I think Brook Vs Rios would be a decent enough defense. It would be big enough here and sell out.

Even that is in doubt, latest interview with Garcia, he says they cant wait around for Brook to make his mind up, wants to fight as soon as July
They were more than ready to fight May 30th, they dont understand why Brook chose to fight Gavin when Rios was availableComment

You nationalistic guys delude yourselves into believing whatever makes you feel better. I don't care where a boxer is from and I don't seek validation from the successes of others. "The writing on the wall" is laughable. I think the op posed a valid question. Don't be so threatened.Comment

For the same reason i gave above, hearn is not leaving brook go anywhere near anyone that might have a chance of beating him unless its one of his fighters so he can build him up as this big UK world champion on box office, its win/win for hearn, i think you will see this happen whit degale although i hope not, i do belive them when they say they wanna fight the best, but hearn aint taking that chance until he has to, until then its his own fighters fighting each other on box office,or european level opponents and make them out as big rivalry'sComment

Complete lie. They weren't ready for May 30th especially with Rios' notorious trouble of getting down in weight. Plus there wouldn't have been enough money to pay Rios to fight on that card considering the other people they have to pay.
You have really become pathetic with licking Khan's hairy arsehole over the past few weeks.
The fight is going to happen. Rios would be insane to turn down a world title shot in front of a packed crowd in the UK. Only an absolute ***ing ****** would do that.....hint hint.Comment

Paul smith, Rocky fielding, callum smith, i bet you he fights one of these or another hearn/british fighter in the UK before fighting outside it. 1 trillion just for argument sake?Complete lie. Who? DeGale? I've already said he won't be fighting an elite fighter in his next fight unless Froch says lets do it.
It's a homecoming fight and it will be a relatively easy defence. I also pointed out that he's not the only boxer to do this.
He won't fight any of those 3 names though. Next year, he'll be in big fights. Groves at Wembley is one of them if Ugly Kid doesn't *** up against Badou Jack.Comment
