Like how can sky and hearn justify some of these shows i dont know but thats a different story i suppose. So what im getting at is,a British fighter wins a title (hearn fighter) and suddenly he is a box office star fighting journeymen or defending his title against someone who we al know has no real chance. I like degale but how long will it be until degale will be "allowed" fight a decent caliber of fighter, and better still fight outside the UK?? Fair enough home advantage and all that, but some these fighters in his stable are a classic example of fighters whit padded records built into a "superstar box-office attraction" and ultimately come up short and be exposed when they step up. Hes not the only promoter to do this by no means, and yes he dose have good fighters, but when they come back to the UK they are pampered with easy defenses and just not ready when a top fighter comes around to challenge them.
i don't understand the complaints i hear from britts about the sky channell.
i realy appreciate their shows. i watch their streams every saturday. wish we had a show like that state side.
like a bigger version of espn.

does it cost extra to get that channell in your cable deals?

Keith Thurman is fighting Luis Collazo.

Who did Adrien Broner even beat for any of his titles and who did he defend them against? Bloody Gavin Rees!

      Only Brits do this doe

As if there's any promoter out there today who has consistently made their fighter fight the next best contender every fight

I still can't believe Mayweather-Guerrero was a fight that actually happened

DeGale will have one homecoming fight and then bring whoever on. Remember this is a guy who signed to fight Andre Ward last year in America. He just went to America and beat one of their best fighters. He gives no ***s.

The only British fighter you could accuse of holding a title "hostage" is Scott Quigg and it's not even a real belt and he's ****.

Even Jamie McDonnell went over to America and beat that Japanese kid who was supposed to be the next big thing.

Yanks are starting to lose some big fights to Brits in their own backyards and they're getting salty.

Isn't Cotto holding WBC and The ring belt as a hostage?

Super Middleweight division is mostly European based. There's much more money to be made in England and have any decent challengers come to him. Ward fight is the only one that would probably have to be made in America and Ward may not go down to 168 again.

Welterweight division though? That is the sports most loaded division, its richest, and is basically exclusive to America. Brook's had a couple easy fights now to help him get back from his attack and do his homecoming and such, which is fine. but I dont want to see him squander away his prime in Britain fighting NoNo Dans, Frankie Gavins, or Brandon Rios'. The one exception of course being a Brook vs Khan fight

I don't think Hearn's fighters have held any titles hostage really.

Barker won his title then defended against Sturm in Germany in his next fight.

Burns signed with Hearn then faced Gonzalez, Beltran, Crawford. Gonzalez was unknown but a good fighter. Beltran is a decent fighter and Crawford is excellent.

McDonnell faced Kameda in America, where Kameda is being showcased. McDonnell was the underdog and it was only his 2nd defense.

Quigg hasn't been up to much yet, but his next fight with Martinez is a challenge.

I'm not sure how long Froch has been with Hearn, but Mack a-side (Froch's only gimme' fight in years and years), he faced Groves and Kessler under Hearn.

Brook has only just won his title. He faced his mandatory and has now got a 'stay busy' voluntary not long after a bad leg injury...and like DeGale i see him chasing the big fights now.

Sounds like he's going after Brandon Rios which is far from big. With the PBC having daytime shows in America like yesterday, Hearn could still have Brook fight in America but be able to broadcast on Sky in the UK for primetime
