          Vs DLH.

His fight vs Gatti was pretty phenomenal. His absolute peak perhaps. Yeah yeah Gatti is no brilliant technician but Floyd made him look like a club fighter. And no Gatti wasn't a club fighter anyway keyboard warriors he held a world title and fought on HBO.

That fight was just mind blowing with how fast, accurate, and overall devastating Floyd was.

Gatti to me was Floyd's absolute prime. There is a noticeable difference from Gatti to Hatton.

              Nope,
He was very sloppy in the Ortiz fight and visible lost a step.
He looked good against Hatton which was the tail end of his prime.
He still had a lot left and did good against Marquez,
After being r&b coed hard twice by Shane, he dug deep and beat the monkey ballz off Shane.
But really since he left 140 he's been different to me. He's not one of these guys who pose as a welter but are super middleweights on fight night.
The He guy can't even make 154 when defending there, even on fight night after rehydration

                Thank you,
I love as gonna say this also.
Gatti was the best he's ever been.
                He fought a perfect fight.
simultaneous offense and defense, perfect punch placement, amazing intelligent combos, etc...

If there was ever a fight where I had to use to represent the perfect boxer, azz beatng, that would be it.
That performance should be taught is colleges, dissected in schools theoughout the world and recorded as a historic day.

So the general consensus is that he's been past prime from somewhere between 2005 and 2009. Yet here we are 6-10 years later, approaching 40 and he's still undefeated, beating the likes of Mosley (after he destroyed Margarito), Cotto, Pacquiao and Canelo along the way.

And people still want to question his greatness?

It's hard to tell but the best version of Floyd was the version between 2004-2007, he was everything wrapped in one, great offense great defense, unbelievable accuracy much better punch output than now, much more entertaining and more dominant than now. against Marquez Mosley and Ortiz he was still sharp but phyiscally he didn't have the balance he once had at his peakm but still he was so much better than them it didn't show, the first 5 rounds against Cotto were a throwback to his heyday but after that 6th round Floyd has never been the same, the 12th was his last round where I said this man is an absolute beast, not just a defensive genius.

From the Cotto fight till now Floyd is on a steady decline, not so fast, but he's no where near what he used to be as far as physical ability and reflexes, that's why he avoids exchanges and relies more on getting the win the easiest way possible, also opponents being under the bright lights for the first time plays in his favor. But it goes to show how great he is, this guy beat Guerrero, Canelo, Maidana and Pacquiao with 70% of his former self.
