Former champion Carl Froch has told Sky Sports News HQ that he plans to make an announcement regarding is career in the first two weeks of June. Froch has been inactive since last May's knockout of George Groves before 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium. Froch has already been stripped of his WBA crown for inactivity and vacated his IBF world title.

If Froch decides to continue his career, he would consider the possibility of facing WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin.

Froch feels that he he'll be too strong if they step in the ring. He has no fear of the middleweight's punching power and feels confident of waling away with the victory.

If I were Golovkins team I would stay far away from Froch, in boxing styles make fights and this is a horrible match up for Golovkin.

Andre Ward would actually be less dangerous since he isn't a hard hitter like Froch and would go inside on Golovkin from time to time. Ward would still win on points but at least Golovkin doesnt have to worry about getting knocked out cold.

Froch is deadly for Golovkin, he can crack and has long rangey arms, To beat Froch you must smother him and tie him up in close and wear him down so he doesn't have room to use those long arms.

Golovkin will get knocked out because he is smaller and gets hit a lot. He also doesn't have the power to hurt Froch, Froch chin is proven, he can take a power shot flush and stand back up.

I believe he can do it but, sadly, I doubt he'll fight him. I think Carl just likes to talk these days. I favor him to beat Golovkin but I'll bet he waits too long and it gets killed because GGG will need to fight Canelo.
