If I were Golovkins team I would stay far away from Froch, in boxing styles make fights and this is a horrible match up for Golovkin.

Andre Ward would actually be less dangerous since he isn't a hard hitter like Froch and would go inside on Golovkin from time to time. Ward would still win on points but at least Golovkin doesnt have to worry about getting knocked out cold.

Froch is deadly for Golovkin, he can crack and has long rangey arms, To beat Froch you must smother him and tie him up in close and wear him down so he doesn't have room to use those long arms.

Golovkin will get knocked out because he is smaller and gets hit a lot. He also doesn't have the power to hurt Froch, Froch chin is proven, he can take a power shot flush and stand back up.

Both Froch and GGG are mid-range fighters, that's where they do their best work. GGG's defense is not great, but Froch's defense is worse. I wouldn't say GGG doesn't have the power to hurt Froch when Froch got dropped by blown up MW Taylor and stunned by Dirrell. Froch's chin is not granite but he has great recovery.

I think it would be a very good fight with both guys landing big shots, but I don't see Froch being 'deadly' for GGG. If anything, I think GGG has something that could prove to be Froch's kryptonite : body punching. One thing that allows Froch to maintain a high work rate even in the late rounds is the fact that his opponents focus on his chin too much (because it's so easy to hit) and they forget about his body. Froch doesn't like to get hit in the body (nobody does but some guys are more vulnerable), I remember when he told his corner that Kessler was 'killing him' with his bodyshots in the 1st fight. I don't have to remind anyone that GGG's bodyshots are devastating, at the very least they would severely reduce Froch's work rate.
