lomancheknos amateure background is not that emmculate compare to rigos,,

lomancheknos claims to have an amateure record of nearly 400 - 1,,while rigosndeux was 374 - 12,,,but his wiki page says 475 -12 but really it doesnt matter what the real number is,,

the point im trying to make is that the amateure scale and competition is much different in cuba where rigo foaught his amateure bouts compareed to russian or eastern euro where lomancheknos fights took place,.as we all know the cuban style of boxing is very luxious compared to the face style brawling bar fights that russian is known for, what i perosonally think is that rigo had to hav faced much harder opponenets in his 400-475 amatuere fights than compare to lomans 400 amateure bouts due to stylistic reasons,,in cuba there r all kinds of fighting styleshowever ,,they are very disciplened in there mannurisms and defense,,in russian the boxing is all about power and sloppy footwork and no defense,

    from wiki (rigos)
He is a seven-time (2000***8211;06) Cuban national champion at bantamweight, and currently claims an amateur record of nearly 475 fights with twelve losses; the last of these losses being to Rencise Perez and Bekzat Sattarkhanov in 1998, Waldemar Font in 1999, and most recently against Aghasi Mammadov in 2003.
    from boxrec (rigos)
    Amateur Highlights

    Amateur Record: 374-12
    for lomarncheko
He finished his amateur career with a claimed career record of 396-1, with his only loss avenged twice.

Amazing to think that if one of them were a little bigger or a little smaller they probably would've been battling for good against one another and one of them would've been way less revered for their AM career. They missed each other by few pounds literally... And I'm glad they did! Now we have a shot at seeing them do the damn things in the pro's

Of course they travel. How do you think they are a me to compete in the Olympics or pan american games etc? ... They travel and some try to defect like Rigo and Lara did and some get caught like Rigo and Lara did... But most don't want to get punished like Rigo and Lara did.

But yea they are allowed to travel and if Rigo and Loma were in the same weight class (I'm not to sure the timelines match up) they would've met up they were so good it ultimately would've came down to them two every time.

Remember Rigo fought and beat Mares in the Pan American games.

This the problem I have with fans now in days..... You guys say Cuban style of Boxing is luxurious and Mexican style is bar room brawling. That's insulting. Then when fans say that all Rigo and Floyd do is run like b1tches and don't come to kill like a Golovkin, Ya start crying like little girls. Stop bashing the other style of fighting if u don't want what u like to be bashed.

That only play's to Loma favor he's the younger fresher guy... To put Rigo age into perspective he's only a year or two younger than PAC and he's still got quite a few fights ahead of him while PAC at this point is way passed it. Most guys in Rigo's division are retired at 30 ... Rigo is 34.

Bad enough to where Mares in interviews admits it (YouTube) and basically wants no part if him...
