Social media is no longer just a fad, it's serious business. ****** people use social media to talk about their crimes, their hatred, their racism. It shows people's true colors, because they are mostly anon. It really is a big deal. It shows where we are socially in the 21st century. Which is still in a very bad place. Social media is a big part of sociology. We're still ****** and racist.

Honestly cr@cker sucks too. They are just not as insulting, at all. The history of slavery against blacks makes the n word so much worse than every other derogatory word. The truth is that non blacks will always accuse blacks of being wrong about racism towards them, because they have no idea what they are even talking about. In a city as racially diversed as nyc, living here since forever, I can see how different races are perceived here and what people say about what race. And yeah, many people are racist. Too many people actually.
I honestly didn't know you were black.

The fact that you're telling people they can't comprehend something because of their race when you get your opinions from Cracked podcasts says it all.... Internet less, travel more
You don't know anything about me first off. Secondly, the racial stuff is from experience in this society, which you haven't experienced or could even experience if you aren't non-white. Thirdly I don't know wtf traveling has gotta do with any of this, but I've been out of the country before. And lastly the cracked podcast was one of the few times I've heard white people talking about white peoples blindspots with racial **** & its been insightful to the few white people I've shared it with already so I figured I'd share it with the people legit curious about this sorta **** & not someone who loves their blindspot like you apparently do.

And fwiw I can understand you not wanting to believe that being white isn't like having PED's on life in American culture & that there isn't a handicap to being non-white in American culture, but if you aren't non-white you probably have little ability to understand the reality for non-white people living in a society thats largely dictated by white people. It'd be like a guy sitting on a couch trying to understand the mindset, drive & passion of an elite level boxer, which everyone tries to do, but few have the ability to understand. You don't live that life, so you can't really know.

I don't have social media of any form, outside of this site of course. Social media, in my opinion, is the refuge of those constantly seeking validation and/or being a teenager. Anyhow, I know how big it is and its uses but people getting butthurt because of racist comments from essentially fake people, why fake? Because you'll never see them most likely, is hilarious and tragic to me at the same time. How weak are you if a person hiding behind a device posting racist comments ruins your day? Pretty weak.

I am not white and I actually grew up in a poor country where you could be randomly imprisoned for no reason and live in the US now.

From a third-party perspective (continuing with your theme that some people lack comprehension, in this case you): If you are not only American, but also a member of a "disadvantaged group", you are simultaneously spoiled while fed the idea that you're oppressed.

It's probably extremely difficult for you to comprehend how easy you have it. Nobody in the world has it easier, or ever has. You enjoy a protected bubble status in a wealthy rule-of-law society. Even when a girl turns you down for a date you can drop the R word on her and have a 2nd chance. Same with jobs, your internet forum opinions, everything.

It cannot possibly improve or become any easier. If you fail in that situation, it's because you suck. When your whole entire life is subsidized to make sure you succeed and you're still a bitter loser, you just suck.
