Floyd literally and deliberately markets himself as a villain. He wants to be hated and he gets what he wants. You think he would have made that much money through his boxing style? LOL.... How can people not understand that?

American fans are still a bit dodgy though. They seem like flavour of the month fans. If a guy loses, they'll drop him like a bad habit. I remember some fat yank recreational skier was telling me that Shawn Porter was going to be the next Tyson and KO Floyd.....he's gone awful quiet on that since.

It's funny how Nate doesn't talk about how Floyd embrasses the black community by the way he acts, how Floyd promotes negative black stereotypes, how Floyd is looked up by black getto youth and making them think it's alright to be an ignorant fool. Your chauvanism blinds you. You assume that you know what other black fighters think is embarrising? There is no such thing as black fighters to begin with all of whom share the same family values. A guy like Hopkins is probably embarrassed by Floyd, while a guy like Bronner wants to emulate him. The truth is that not everybody has the same family values that you share.

With education its actually a much worse situation. Most white people think, and are being peddled the line that one gets an education to be financially succesful. So naturally when one is financially lucky this is promoted as a means to that end. So in a sense looking up to Floyd's financial gains is not wholly a value shared in a part of the black community. When I see Floyd I see a clown who makes Haymon and IRS rich. His money is marked, it won't even last because anybody who really has means knows that earned income is income on the table. Education should be evaluated as more than a means to providing an income....thats my value anyway! You don't hear Bernard Hopkins talk about what he has...thats not just modesty.
