Actually ironically I think their plans was to outpoint floyd . Manny was supposed to hop in get a 2 punch combination and hop out before floyd could have a chance to counter with a right hand lead. Its why roach kept telling him not to stay once he got inside and why manny would try to dash in only to cut short when it looked like floyd was winding for a right hand lead. Eventually when that didnt work he started just rushing in and thats when the checks started coming.

All one asks of you is to stay consistent.
example:
"CWs are bad and are meant to drain fighters". Floyd does it, it's all good.

the resumes just don't compare.
ability wise, he is up there, particularly at 130 and 135. 130 is not a deep division. he's one of the best h2h fighters ever at the weight, by my eyes.
135 is a deep division, but i still think he does ok with whitaker, benny leonard, armstrong, other greats around the weight. i do think duran would beat him up, but he's the only guy i'd pick to do that at 135.

he brought alvarez down to 152 knowning damn well that he had trouble making 154.
floyd would have won that fight at HW, but we can't deny the reality that alvarez was drained. he missed weight aginst angulo in his next fight. he was sitting on a chair at the weigh in, if any of you care to remember.
