Fighters usually have 50+ carreer fights. I can't believe some of you get your panties in a bunch over ONE SINGLE fight. I guarantee you that after Collazo Keith is going to get his biggest step up in competition. Save this post. 21/05/2015. Jose Soto.

I actually don't have a problem with the match up, its good for Thurman to see different styles, I think he is still very much in a learning phase. Plus I see how they are building him up to the general public. But he should maybe learn to be a bit more circumspect in future when criticising other fighters competition.
Exactly. Thurman has ranted many times how Collazo was an unacceptable opponent, a bum when Khan fought him, when Collazo was coming off a KO of Ortiz.

Now, a year later, after Collazo gets his ass kicked by Khan, Thurman is really going to fight him now?

Thurman just looks like an idiot, and a hypocrite.

It's even more shameful when you realise, he pulled out of negotiations for Porter, and could've fought Alexander instead of Collazo.

PBC is meant to bring boxing back to the public, with crap like this, it can't.

And Thurman was meant to fight Porter, but pulled out. Apparently, to fight Collazo.

Its not a terrible fight. Collazo is a very good fighter, sure Khan absolutely beat the crap out of him, but Khan is the only fighter to handle him. Thats the problem. Thruman criticized Collazo as an opponent for Khan.

Well in that case, after he gets the snot beaten out of him, and a year later, when hes even older, now he's a good opponent? LMAO. Thurman is a clown. Keep your mouth shut, to stop contradicting yourself Thurman.

It obviously should've been Porter Thurman, it easily could've been.

But Haymon again protecting what he thinks is his important chess pieces, and this kind of thinking is always going to fail. LIke D Garcia, waiting years to put on Garcia Peterson like its some amazing holy grail fight. The result? It was a crap fight, that Peterson appeared to win, making the fight even crapper.

You have to aim for the moon in every fight, if you want to go anywhere on network TV. Haymon doesn't get it. PBC continues its slide into failure.
I 2nd this. I have a great idea! Instead of waiting years to make matchups we want, why not make them NOW? ******. With all these fighters at his disposal, its not a good look.

Exactly. You can't get away with waiting to make the important matchups on network TV, saving all your great fights for some time in the future.

This whole, let the great fights marinate crap isn't going to work on network TV.

If Haymon has all these great fighters, great potential matchups, then why is he not able to make killer fights? He has the fighters.

HBO, Sho, those channels cater to hardcore fans, who are going to watch the fights even if they are mediocre. But that is not the case on network TV. This is not good enough at all. I want PBC to succeed, but I don't see how this is possible with what we are getting.

It stuns be that people are okay with Thurman fighting a lightweight in Guerrero, a 40 year old Bundu, and Collazo. But criticize Alexander for not being a real WW? WTF? How dumb do you have to be, to keep criticzing Alexander has not being a real WW, and praise Thurman for fighting Guerrero?

It's funny because Thurman is cherry picking already, at the beginning of his career, in his prime. He could be fighting Porter or Alexander, but instead chooses Collazo, a guy whose soul was taken by Khan.

Makes zero sense for anyone to defend this choice. Thurman is seriously being a hypocrite here. Warrior my ass.
Dude stfu... guerrero BEEN moved up from lightweight... if anything he didn't even start at lightweight dumbass.

Give your reasons as to why you think those fights aren't being made

Yes, he is ducking Porter. Keep up on the news. Thurman Porter was almost a done deal, until Thurman pulled out and refused the fight. FACT.

Alexander said he wants Thurman, and is free. FACT.

Thurman instead chooses Collazo, a guys who he essentially criticized as a bum. FACT.

Thurman is a coward and a hypocrite, and is ducking Alexander and Porter. FACT.
