WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (39-0-1, 29KOs) is willing to drop a few pounds to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26KOs). Mayweather is the World Boxing Council's champion at 147-pounds. Alvarez has no problem facing Mayweather at a catch-weight of 150-pounds.

"The kid suggested a while ago that he would be willing to come down to fight Floyd at 150. So if he put it out there ... this is business at the end of the day, and we're going to hold his feet to the fire, and his manager the same way."
I just posted this for you on the other thread but in case you missed it

That is an old article ...... and like you wrote, Canelo was a kid!

Read the date. It was the end of 2011. Canelo was how old back then? 21. A little over a year earlier Canelo had fought at WW but just so you know, a few fights (~6 month prior to) before that article, he had trouble making that same 150 against Hatton. Canelo came in at 152 instead of the contracted 150 and had to pay a fine for doing so. It was substantial for this type of fight.

2 years later against Floyd, Canelo outgrew and said that it would be too hard to make a CW. You are going back way before the negotiations took place. WHy don't you get articles of when Canelo was complaining about a CW. I told you what Canelo said about his training camp. Making weight was the hardest thing that he had to do.

Furthermore, what were you Floyd fans saying about the first negotiations against Manny? As soon as Floyd said that he changed his mind and said that the offer is off the table now, you Floyd fans said, that is fine by me. Right? So for once, apply the same to when it is not in Floyd's favor!

Maybe you have never been injured before not sure but I have and also played with the injuries. To someone sitting in the stands, you may not be able to notice anything but a player or in this case, a boxer can be injured and show little to no signs of it. Partly trying to keep a poker face and partly because it's not always noticeable.

Going by what you were saying, with an injury, I was still one of the best players in my team and got the points and goals to prove it ... but after the game, doctor confirmed my injury and I didn't play the next game. The coach was fumed and couldn't believe I had an injury because like I said, I actually had a good game with the injury. So remember, the coach didn't even notice it but doctors advised me not to play the next game.

Manny had surgery. What more does one need to tell you.

He called out Floyd with that weight, they met in the middle, get over it

Lol 2 years later he outgrew 150?????.....vs Cintron he fought at 154 and weighed in at 154.1 lbs(yet according to you he could make 150/152 as a kid no problem), two years later vs Trout he weighed in at 153.5(but no way in hell could he make 150/152 and was drained)......yup he outgrew the weight....lol..he came in lighter than he did vs Cintron...keep reaching, its what you do best sir.

You must be all confused or something. Canelo struggled to make 150 about 6 months before that article. I wrote it in my post. So to say that Canelo would try but struggle to make the weight even back then

but Canelo didn't want to lose the opportunity. So he accepted 152 even though he struggled with that too. Its all there. Canelo couldn't make 150 and was fined. Canelo tried 152 but stated that it was the hardest thing that he had to do.

Finally, they were both title holders at 154 and it was to be Floyd's 3rd fight at 154 but demanded a CW ...... remember that it was Floyd who said that CW requests are for draining fighters.

You notice after he missed with that right hand he then used his forearm to push Pac's head which was clearly a foul. If you notice Bayless was ready to come in but then changed his mind. Bayless let Mayweather off with a lot in that fight. The amount of holding, clinching, arm twisting , elbows, forearms and headlocks.

The sad thing is the judges and commentators probably gave him points for that move, they probably thought he landed a punch the way Pac was pushed back.
