  • Mayweather will fight him again to set the record straight. He did the same thing with Maidana when people said Mayweather lost.

Floyd took away Maidana's glove in fight 1.

To set the record straight, besides taking away the gloves, they got Kenny STOP STOP Bayless to come to Floyd's rescue. Floyd elbowed during the fight. No point deductions. Maidana does the same, no warnings. Right away a point deduction.

To set the record straight, Floyd has all the advantages in Vegas.
If it was anyone else fighting, they would have gotten non-USA, non-Vegas resident judges. Or at least a good mix. Dave Moretti is Floyd's go to judge and has judged 9 of Floyd's last 11 fights.

Kenny Bayless, well, we knew that he would just break them up after Floyd fouls. So what.

Nobody (with the exception a few nutjobs) is saying that now.

        • All these wacky threads is like a support group for Pac fanatics.

Simply they can't move on and if they repeat it enough it is reality

I really find compubox lacking. it is sad that this fight was not one of a few started at least 5 year ago. This was imo a close fight open to interpretation regarding the scoring. I have no problem giving it to Floyd, i would probably say the same if it had been scored the other way...I say this after watching the fight a couple of times.

Heres why Floyd deserved it though: Manny had no right to let up the last few rounds. As a matter of fact he should have let it hang out, taken a risk to try to show decisive aggression. Its the same mistake De La Hoya made with Trinidad and it cost De La Hoya dearly! You don't let up in the championship rounds....If Manny did this thinking he had bagged the fight, or, if he just couldn't continue at the same pace...either way thats a boni fide reason to give the other guy the W.
Yeah, I was a bit disappointed in Pac's performance in rds 11 & 12. If he had won those rounds, two judges would have had a draw and we might now be talking about how the fight was competitive. But that didn't happen and as a result it is very hard to score pac as the winner or even as a draw.

It would be hard for me to believe that he thought he had the fight in the bag. He might have thought he was winning, but he wasn't landing enough or doing enough damage to really believe that he was clearly winning. I really wish they'd have recorded everything said in the corners and released that as I'm dieing to know if Roach led him to believe that. Roach is usually pretty good at knowing when his fighter is losing. He let Provo know that he needed to at least seriously hurt Timothy Bradley in the last two rounds when I had personally seen it as a close fight up to that point.
