to bad kovalov dont have the wbc belt cause he would not vacate his titles. he keeps saying all sudden he dont care about getting stevensons titles tho lame how it turned out they didnt really want to fight stevenson it was just to sell kovalov oh well

I think it was about personal pride. Kovalev might be better of being aligned with Haymon's stable at LHW but Duva didnt want to kiss the ring. Duva has been one of Haymon's most outspoken critics and using the HBO excuse as a cop out.
