Marvin Hagler was considered a mediocre nobody for 90 percent of his career. He was only held in high regard for his last 10-12 fights, so there was no reason for him to move up either.

Floyd Mayweather beat four CURRENT world champions in three weight classes before he appeared in his first PPV.

GGG beats up on glorified sparring partners and thinks that should get him in a PPV. Like GGG, Cotto and Alvarez can make the same amount of money fighting tomato cans or third rate fighters as they can fighting a quality opponent. That is what they will continue to do after they fight each other. GGG will NEVER appear in a PPV fight because he is not PPV material.

Call me a hater if you want, but everything I have said is true or will become truth in the next few years.
Actually get your facts straight, Hagler was a monster that nobody wanted to fight until Duran stepped up and agreed to fight him.

Much like GGG, it's not his fault he can't get anyone to fight him. He has to stay busy. Canelo looks to wanna fight him in the future. I don't think Cotto wants anything to do with him, but those are the 2 money fights.

Quillin wants no part of GGG,not to mention Haymon doesn't want Quillin anywhere near GGG. it's not his fault he can't get dudes to fight him. Quit hatin on the dude just cause you wanna see him lose.

Don't worry after GGG collects Cotto's lineal MW strap and Mayweather's lineal JMW strap, he'll be happy to fight Ward for his lineal SMW strap. The larger, more experienced and more talented Ward might be a bridge too far. We'll see.

Mayweather doesnt chase money fights or he wouldve fought pacquiao in 2009. He created this villian that every1 wants to see lose, so he fights beatable opponents for a very good amount of money. Like Roger said before the Robert ATG Guerrero fight; "we are robbing the bank". Alot of fighters didnt belong in the ring with him but the media brainwashes people easy. victo ortiz was a quitter who ppl forgot about it because he beat overrated berto, get real. marcos maidana really??? just because he exposed a hypejob?

Ward even fought the best at 175, albeit it was at 168. In the form of Chad Dawson. But of course his accomplishments gets ridiculed by excuse making douchebags that claim Dawson was so drained. GGG's victory over Monroe earned more respect from some. SMH

HBO finally created enough HYPE for Kovalev that now it makes sense for Ward to move up to 175.

Meanwhile GGG is openly avoiding a clash with the consensus 2nd best boxer in the world at 168.

Ward is GGG's signature opponent. Period. So many greats from the past never had a signature opponent to define their greatness.

GGG would rather challenge former Jr Welterweights like Cotto. That says a lot about this man's character.

He knows WARD will bust his ass. Period.
                ^This right here...

who could broner do a ppv with?

you heard the crowd at the forum chanting ggg.

broner doesn't even get that kind of love when he fights in cincy.

Benard Hopkins took 10 years too move up. after he beat 15 tomato cans, 3 good fighters and 2 welterweights.

                      marvin hagler never moved up.

were they scared too seek challenges?

my friend, you are just a hater
Can't compare Hagler and GGG. Sorry. No further explanation needed.

Bernard did sit at Middleweight for a very long time. He also received a lot of criticism and didn't get the true respect he deserved until his later years. He had to beat the blown up Welterweights before they gave him his respect.

GGG on the other hand already has the respect Hopkins sadly never had until he beat Tito Trinidad.

GGG is hyped like he's really done something already. Andre Dirrel is more proven than GGG. And look at his stock.

                      Double standards do exist.
