Only in this particular fight have I ever heard it to this extent, that Mayweather was suppose to make things tougher on himself despite the fact that he had Pacquiao neutralized. Insane......

And honestly why it happened, I don't know for sure but I'm pretty sure it had something to do with the caliber of fighter standing in front of him. Just my thoughts.
He had a tougher time with Maidana in both of the fights... Maidana is just a tougher matchup for Floyd and if we are being real Floyd was moving a hell of a lot more for Maidana in the second fight then he ever was for pac.

It's not both of their faults either, it's Pacquiao's, so Mayweather was suppose to make the fight tougher on himself? No, the opponent is suppose to do that shit.
I get it. He did what he had to do to win the fight. It didn't require much. But people wanted to see more than the bare minimum. That's what the booing and the backlash is about.

I don't think anyone questioned who the better boxer is/was. No one was banking on Manny to outbox Floyd.
So you're saying they were banking on Floyd being generous enough to make the biggest fight of his career easier on his opponent? give me a break dude. They were supposed to be evenly matched Pac was supposed to be able to neutralize Mayweather's foot speed with his own angles, hand speed, and crazy combo's ... someone showed up with their game plan and did what was to be expected the other person didn't. Can you guess which is which?

Understandable, I understand it wasn't for everyone but if there was any chance people were gonna get their money's worth, Pacquiao needed to lay it all on the line and he didn't. Mayweather had Pacquiao figured out, he was well within his right to stay within his element, Pacquiao on the other hand looked like he didn't give a fuck, personally.

Floyd is always going to catch flack for whatever he does. The fact that "the chosen one" Manny is catching any type of flack from the media at all when the guy has done some questionable things in the past and they never said a thing shows you who is really to blame... Even Jim Lampley has been critical of him... Jim **** **** **** Lampley

Call it foolish. But alot of people were predicting more of a fight. Alot of people are on record saying it will have action, etc. Mayweather himself said he would be more aggressive. Turns out he was right, more aggressive than Pacquiao is what he meant.

Look man, I'm just saying that I think both fighters could have done more to make the fight more memorable and neither did. And Maidana fought his ass off so I really don't want to take nothing away from him BUT, I think there's a reason why Floyd felt okay ****ing it out with him. Just my two pennies.

Because Maidana will stay in the pocket if he has to. Pacquiao is more in and out, so while closing the gap is all good and well, your gonna have to deal with Pacquiao doing some of his own tying up and quickly pulling out after throwing combinations. That's where the difficulties were, Roach himself said he was gonna make sure Pacquiao didn't stay in the pocket for too long.

Truthfully, I don't think Mayweather himself thought it'd come that easy, boxing that is, usually takes Mayweather 2-3 rounds but it was only a matter of seconds before he got the distance down.

Everyone can see how Maidana swarmed Floyd and practically wouldn't let him breathe.

But Floyd is such a master ring tactician, he had Freddie Roach and all #48 fans fooled about his slow footwork, slowed reflexes, and to being susceptible to getting KTFO, and those same fans ate it up thinking #48 would do the same and much worse to Floyd.

#48 fans: "Yeah but Chino had two good shoulders tho."

                    .

I disagree with you mr. Trout i think you are a member of the jealous guy. Open your eyes big and look at the replay. Pacquiao fought a good fight only mayweather is a great runner he looks like carl lewis before a great runner in the olympic. And holding pacquiao he is afraid to hit by a small guy. Even you againts pacquiao i know you will be knock out. Your a jealous guy to pacquiao your blaiming pacquiao while pacquiao was in a good performance you will blame mayweather because his afraid to engage even a small pacquiao.
