    should he?

of course not. he shouldn't have to. the dude didn't even win the MW championship. i don't care about alphabet belts. there's one champion per division, and golovkin never got his shot at martinez or cotto.

the MW championship is being held hostage by miguel cotto. you can trace that title back to bernard hopkins, who won the vacant lineage when he beat tito trinidad.

    will he?

eventually. i think he's holding out for money fights against canelo, cotto, and a pipe dream of a floyd mayweather fight.

there are big fights at 168, but i don't think he can beat andre ward. i don't think froch's people would take that fight, either. somewhere along the line, hard man froch and all of his little fanboys turned into accountants.

fights at 160 and 154 would be alot better. Cotto, Canelo, Mayweather (if he had the balls). Lee, Quillin, Lemeiux, Andrade, Lara, etc.

He's not outgrowing the division, at times he looks like a small middleweight honestly, he's average sized at best. He's consistently fighting the best available and willing. And why go to 168 when there isn't the attraction or appeal that compares to Cotto or Canelo. If you're an average sized welterweight and the world wants to see you fight Mayweather, do you move up to 54 to face Lara instead?

Anyone hollering 'move up' refuses to understand the situation because of a preexisting agenda.

GGG's the only guy in boxing who can cherry pick while he waits for a big fight and gets a pass. Must be nice.

I think Canelo has the right idea... stay in one division, even if it's made up, beat up on anyone you want and just wait for a big fight to happen. It's working for GGG as well...

Cotto moves up to his 4th weightclass and challenges himself and he's the ducking diva, the world we live in now lol.

I just hope he fights someone decent in the interim unlike the bums we've become accustomed to
I totally agree..It's nothing against 3G it's just I'm ready to see him in some really good fights and Cotto and Alvarez do not seem to want none..

                    This.

I love the guys style I have him on my favorite fighter list for a reason. But I'm tired of mismatches. FOTY candidates are never mismatches, they're tough fights that are incredibly tough to score, that's what I like to see.

                      Wait on Canelo.

                      If no Canelo, move up.

He's on his 30's, he needs to do something and fast.
