So much for the rematch.. At this rate Roman will be willing to face Estrada when he's either fresh off a ko loss, inactive, 35 years old or all of the above

After claiming he wanted the rematch, Roman wanted an unheard of purse for a rematch of 1 million dollars, hence it falling through. Now that Estrada is a unified champion at his original weight division, it seems like Roman has no true interest in the said clash while feasting on washed up fighters or journeymen with 28 losses on their record.

Pathetic. Fighting everybody else's leftovers is a recurring theme for Gonzalez.
Gonzalez fought journeyman Oscar Blanquet coming off of a decision loss to Akira Yaegashi, journeyman Juan Kantun coming off of a K.O. loss to David Sanchez, journeyman Juan Purisima coming off of a decision loss to Artem Dalakian, journeyman Rocky Fuentes coming off of a decision loss to Amnat Ruenrueng, and the 28 loss journeyman Valentin Leon,. That's 5 of his last 7 fights,
. The other 2 being wins over Akira Yaegashi and Edgar Sosa, which I classify as good wins.

P4p
Gonzalez knocked out Yageyashi who was the top at the time. He beat Estrada by a wide margin...idk why ppl think a rematch will be any different! He is the best flyweight and has been for awhile. It's just now that he's getting the exposure he deserves. Further, Segura is well know among Mexicans...this fight is nothing but to bring popularity to Gonzalez. Santa Cruz can stick to fighting truck drivers and construction workers i.e. Cayetano who took him 12 reds lmaoooooo!
